@lawyerlawyer1215
@lawyerlawyer1215 2 жыл бұрын
@@TempestWolf1 why spread bullshit? First- “those rumors” where reports from the company that made the adaptors to Nvidia, and it’s been publicly shared that issue had nothing to do whatsoever with the cards , but with a faulty design with the cable. (Publicly shared by leakers first , reliable KZbin channels like Gamers Nexus then and last but not least Nvidia themselves) Which has been also addressed as already fixed. Second- not once was it mentioned as something that happened to the 4090ti in particular . The reports where about the 4000 series in general . Because once again , the problem was with the adaptor , not with the cards themselves. Third: the the 4090 has the same power draw as the 3090ti The 4080 16gb has the same as the 4090. So till the 4090ti drops , we really haven’t seen no new levels of power consumption. Wich further proves it isnt about reaching new ridiculos power draws , but about a bad adaptor .

Great performance, 3 bad things about this card: 1) wiggly PCB. I can see the soddering breaking because people bent the cable too far trying to fit it in their cases and then getting the finger from NVidia saying that you broke it yourself therefore you're not eligible to refund. 2) No PCI Gen 5 (on a 1600USD card, really, NVidia?). 3) No DisplayPort 2.0 (ON A FUCKING 1600USD CARD. REALLY, NVIDIA?!?!). Anyway, I'll probably stick with AMD on this one; at least they have PCI Gen 5 and DisplayPort 2.0 confirmed already on their next gen. And also I'm happy to sacrifice 5% performance to get 20% discount. Only 3 weeks or so for their launch, hold your wallets, gents, you might be happy you did.

@@chiefjudge8456 6950XT had like 2-3% less avg fps when compared with a 3090Ti. The disparity may be bigger this gen because NVidia apparently went ALL OUT on the 4090 (77% uptick compared to 3090Ti). Tough match. But honestly even if it’s 10% less performance, I’ll still pick AMD if I get more fps for my money.

A month late to the party here, but I finally pulled the trigger on a 7950x build. Instead of the Strix, I went a step up with the Crosshair X670E Hero. Not the E-ATX version but just the regular ATX version. E-ATX would give me 10G and even more robust VRM solution. Those features aren't worth the extra $300-ish to me; I'll just pop a 10G adapter into the 2nd PCIe slot.

OK, I'm a warzone fanatic, and here's my opinion... I've seen streamers get higher frames with rtx3090's. BUT, (and I'm not a computer guy) idk if it's cause they don't use the ray tracing or whatever, but when you were running thru Caldera, I've never seen the foliage and stuff look so smooth and clean. Nice video man, new subscriber from Florida💯💪🏻🔥🔥 PS: what is cpu bottle-necking?? Loll srry man🤣😭

DLSS3 will be HUGE for laptop gaming. I will 💯% upgrade my Razerblade 2070 to a 40 series once they are announced at CES. Laptop will take more advantage over this tech than regular PC cuz having a game at 100+ fps on PC is always overkill no matter what. But having ANY game at Ultra RTX ON with 60+fps ON A LAPTOP…. Now that will be an achievement.

100+ fps isn’t overkill when high refresh monitors are a thing. Especially for people who are playing shooters at a competitive level, you want as many frames as you can get.
@powerhouse884
@powerhouse884 2 жыл бұрын
@@HingleMcCringleberryX21J Its overkill for any game, 60fps is perfectly fine. Anything above thats is only needed for precision gaming like shooters, VR, etc. Still you can play them just fine.

@@powerhouse884 Playable =\= Optimal. Sure you can play at 60fps, but for scenarios such as those we’ve both outlined there are benefits to be had at higher frames and refresh rates. Don’t know a single person who has ever gone 144hz or higher for gaming who’d be caught dead playing titles at 60fps again, and not just for shooters. Hardware like this is also what’s going to allow 4k and 1440p to be more competitive for those wanting to play at those refresh rates. Overkill is when there isn’t a realistic benefit to be had for your use case and you’re just spending money for the shear sake of it.
@powerhouse884
@powerhouse884 2 жыл бұрын
@@HingleMcCringleberryX21J It IS overkill, you are dependable on the Monitor refresh rate to even see the difference and this is only for niche specific type. Playing a game at 144hz, 240hz with your Fps going 180fps, 200fps is just completely unnoticeable to players in most games. You dont spend the amount of money these cards are asking for something that is barely notice. Is like saying this is Excellent right now but it can be even more Excellent…. Makes 0 difference for what you are paying. This will be astronomical for Laptops who haven’t been able to provide the same fidelity as regular PC without sacrificing resources. You can actually game with Max settings RTX On and keep a substantial 60+ fps.

@@powerhouse884 Difference between 60 and 120 or 144 is a lot. I played games over a decade at 60 cuz of monitor and bought 144 hz one a while back, day and night difference. Feels way too smooth.

IDK .. competitive FPS gamers using high refresh monitors will buy up every RTX 4090 available .. I did. There are 144+ Hz 4K monitors and in my case 260Hz 21:9 3440x1440 monitors. Obviously by now you are well aware that every RTX 4090 throughout the globe was sold out in a matter of minutes...

I'll say this. The budget 4K gaming would not be too far. Perhaps a RTX 9060 would do 4K 120FPs. So about 5 years from now, the average user can expect 4K gaming. Not sure what will happen to USA Electric Grid with 1800 W as the max. So maybe we could purchase one but not be able to use one lol.
