@@TempestWolf1 why spread bullshit? First- “those rumors” where reports from the company that made the adaptors to Nvidia, and it’s been publicly shared that issue had nothing to do whatsoever with the cards , but with a faulty design with the cable. (Publicly shared by leakers first , reliable KZbin channels like Gamers Nexus then and last but not least Nvidia themselves) Which has been also addressed as already fixed. Second- not once was it mentioned as something that happened to the 4090ti in particular . The reports where about the 4000 series in general . Because once again , the problem was with the adaptor , not with the cards themselves. Third: the the 4090 has the same power draw as the 3090ti The 4080 16gb has the same as the 4090. So till the 4090ti drops , we really haven’t seen no new levels of power consumption. Wich further proves it isnt about reaching new ridiculos power draws , but about a bad adaptor .

Great performance, 3 bad things about this card: 1) wiggly PCB. I can see the soddering breaking because people bent the cable too far trying to fit it in their cases and then getting the finger from NVidia saying that you broke it yourself therefore you're not eligible to refund. 2) No PCI Gen 5 (on a 1600USD card, really, NVidia?). 3) No DisplayPort 2.0 (ON A FUCKING 1600USD CARD. REALLY, NVIDIA?!?!). Anyway, I'll probably stick with AMD on this one; at least they have PCI Gen 5 and DisplayPort 2.0 confirmed already on their next gen. And also I'm happy to sacrifice 5% performance to get 20% discount. Only 3 weeks or so for their launch, hold your wallets, gents, you might be happy you did.

Hardware like this is also what’s going to allow 4k and 1440p to be more competitive for those wanting to play at those refresh rates. IDK .. competitive FPS gamers using high refresh monitors will buy up every RTX 4090 available .. I did. There are 144+ Hz 4K monitors and in my case 260Hz 21:9 3440x1440 monitors. Obviously by now you are well aware that every RTX 4090 throughout the globe was sold out in a matter of minutes...

Lives up to the hype, price, and power. I just bought an LG C2 so I'll be taking a closer look at the 4080 12g

I'm looking at 4080 16gb myself paired with 13900k.Rumors going around the 4080 16gb perform better than 3090ti and 4090 is living up to the hype so hopefully the 4080's will too

@@johnnyboogalo4897 Oops, I typed 12g, I meant the 16g card.

@@rharvier Same. 16gb is only 320 watts of power which is just really samn efficient for what it provides over the 3090 ti. Perfect card.

I'll say this. The budget 4K gaming would not be too far. Perhaps a RTX 9060 would do 4K 120FPs. So about 5 years from now, the average user can expect 4K gaming. Not sure what will happen to USA Electric Grid with 1800 W as the max. So maybe we could purchase one but not be able to use one lol.
