I got one of these a few years ago off eBay for around £74. It was filthy and the CD wasn't working properly but after a good clean and a slight adjustment of a screw on the CD drive it now looks mint and plays perfectly. It is now my favourite console in my collection.
@kevinwoolford1235 жыл бұрын
They are beautiful systems but I'd reccomend refurbing the caps and battery at least to prevent leakage. Mine was mint and had 2 leaky caps XD I cant get over how small they got it all :)
@RetroGameRepublic5 жыл бұрын
@@kevinwoolford123 Yeah I'll have to have a look at getting that done. I know, the size of the thing is great, it's a Mega Drive and Mega CD in about half the size of a Mega Drive 2. I love it but I would love to get a JVC WonderMega to go with it too.

@@RetroGameRepublic I've always loved the wonder mega design it's very cool. Dont have the room tho I dont think lol

Great console. At audio cd mode (via aa batteries), the screen has no light?
@BaneMcDeath4 жыл бұрын
I believe in modding them a lot. Hellz yeah. Pimp that console like the MTV show. I want to see some mega modded stuff with led arrays, etc. Plenty of people go original. Mod it baby!
@kevinwoolford1234 жыл бұрын
I like to keep them alive as long as possible with mods that improve picture etc its awesome what we can do with these retro systems nowadays

Hes really reasonable with his prices and is the king of modders he really is. he updates you as he progresses through the mods also and takes really good care of these systems and keeps them running for many years to come. chuck him a message if you ever need mod work sorting :) his twitter and youtube links are in the show more box if you want to see his mod work

He's amazing. Now I think it's time to swap the master system 1 and packapunch cable for an ms converter as the pic is so much better :)

He really is a gent. Cant wait to see what mods he does in the future as they are all top quality. I think this may be a worlds first for remote region switching on a multi mega so that's pretty cool also :)

Bought one back in the day from Dixon's,cost a fortune at the time,never learnt my lesson as I later got a Saturn and then a Dreamcast,you live and learn 🤣

Ah man so cool! How did you generate the scan lines?

Old video but probably with the ossc at that time but now I use the retrotink5x it's hugely superior in every way 😎😎
@dalesmith71443 жыл бұрын
I bought ones of these off eBay today might need too get it recapped tho I’ve seen some videos of the 32x add on working with this do you reckon using the 32x with this or just use my model 1 instead I also have a Saturn with the same modification as your mega multi hold down reset and change region
@kevinwoolford1233 жыл бұрын
Multi mega does work with it but I hear it stresses it out to much and can over heat it so I'd avoid really to be safe 😀 if you are inside it then I'd recommend a recap, new save battery, 60hz mod and rgb bypass if you are a picture snob like me 😅😅

I had one if these, bought it new for £80 in GAME. Later sold it and now regret it. I still want to buy another one but they seem to sell for stupid money on eBay.

I sold alot of stuff I regretted over the years...panzer dragoon saga for 20 and pirates of dark water for a 5er XD

Truly impressive but nowadays you can have a 4K and HQ sound at 48khz with Kega Fusion Emulator!Thanks God for emus!
@kevinwoolford1234 жыл бұрын
I use the ossc for crystal clear 5x image and sound on my 4k tv. Real hardware lag free rgb bypassed goodness. Emulation is never perfect with sound or picture and always has input lag :) I always mod all my systems for the best audio and video possible. I'm not against emulation just if I can use the real hardware in a flawless way I go for that. For ps2 I'd understand emulation as its 480i and looks pants haha

I only buy to play so I'm not bothered about the boxes :) they are very expensive complete in box sadly and after all the mods to keep them In service you would be spending nearly 700... ouch

its gone up mine was £330 :O the mods are case by case as the internals may be leaky on some units etc so you would need to ask :) he is a master with the multi mega so you would be in great hands :) hes got another 3 on his work bench atm for mods :D

Alot of people didn't. And as they cost more then the two separate units they didn't sell that well so are an uncommon bit of kit. Very sleek tho to look at and now amazing to use
