Doug, I had this big ol long message to you about the " Jerk" but then I was reminded he is only doing stuff to get you upset and all, so no attention to him. Silly all he has to do is stop watching. Enjoy the 1" so much. so easy on old hands. Hope one day you do a horse ( silly one ) Hope you keep the 1" going. Maybe a update on your American Indians. love them so...... Don't pay no mind to the boo birds Doug. I really enjoy your videos. The gnome doors was the one that made me think I could do it. Now I have done 16 of your carvings. Gnome doors, books, corn head dude, the hot dog, little man, couple hillbillies, snowman and more. I am just glad to be able to learn from you. Stick to your guns and do what you want to do. Dare I say I think there are many who would agree?

Doug, this video and the comfort bird video have been a life saver. I started watching you a few years ago and enjoyed learning to whittle. I used to be able to do the finer cuts, eyes and such but now I have developed tremors in my old age and have trouble with fine cutting. These videos made it possible for me to make things that are quick and easy. As we travel in our little motor home I will do a comfort bird and leave on the picnic table for the next camper. Now I have another to leave. Thanks for the easy whittle videos. Any others that don't require fine cuts would be appreciated by us old folks. I forgot to mention the one by one hillbillies I was also able to do them.
