Hey, I just have a big issue, when I open the game after installing the mod list applying the settings, I got a black screen with a message that says "TIP: enable shader cache in video driver settings" and crashes after a couple of seconds, the thing is that on my Nvidia panel, this specific setting is on the "unlimited" option, so IDK what's going on, please help :( Update: I installed FUS, the same message appears but for some reason it doesn't crash and works, I think it could be some settings in the mod list or IDK, I have a 3080 and 32GB Ram so Hardware shouldn't be an issue, I guess...

I have a RX 6700 XT. Can you turn off a bunch of things in there, starting with the ENBs (which I generally am not a fan of) ... or is there a similar collection somewhere with a smaller footprint I could use? Honestly just want to experience Skyrim VR, but all the modding part is overwhelming so I'm looking for something like a lightly modded Skyrim VR.

Hey there, glad the FO4 modlist worked well. This is even easier to install. With a 3080Ti should work very well out of the box, but you can tweak a bit the settings to get more fps, if you want.

Hey thanks for the vid, I installed but I have a piece of the HUD bang in the middle, it's an icon of armour and a helmet. I have tried going in mod menus and can't seem to work out how to remove that. Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Hey there! It’s the first time I hear about this issue. I think there is a mod called immersive HUD or something similar. Try to disable it, launch the game, see what happens and the re-enable it again. When you do so, remember to restore the plug-in order. If everything fails, try to send a message to the modlist creator on his discord. There’s a link in the description. Perhaps he knows better what’s going on because he might have updated the modlist since I made this video 😊 oh and tanks for subbing!!! Please report back and let me know if it worked.

Hi! Great video! Could you please help me a bit since I am completely newbie to Skyrim VR modding. So I want to instal Minimalistic Overhaul first, that I hope I can do following the YT tutorials. After that I would want to refresh all textures to 4K ones, since as far as I know, Minimalistic Overhaul contains only 2K textures by default. My questions are: 1. Which 4K texture mods should I install and how do I install them properly? 2. I play the game on Quest 3. Can you tell me what settings to use (including Oculus and/or Steam VR and Oculus Debug Tool settings) to get the best visual quality possible on my Quest 3? 3. What are the absolute best nature/foliage mods that are available for Skyrim VR and do I get them inside Minimalistic Overhaul out of the box or do I have to install them separately? Hi there, thanks for your comment. If you follow the tutorial I put in the video you shouldn’t have any problems. At the time I made this video the minimalistic overhaul had 4K textures. The creator decided that 2K were good enough of a compromise between looks and performance in latest updates. It’s really up to you which texture model you want to update. Almost Every 2K texture pack has a 4K alternative…it’s just going to take you some time. If you have a 4090 then you can use the VR performance kit in “sharpening only”. Make sure not to pile up all the supersampling option because you will have performance issues. I use virtual desktop in godlike settings. Looks pretty sharp. You need to disable the in-game dynamic resolution. The best foliage mods are included in the minimalistic overhaul. I think the creator is updating some of those though. Not quite sure.

@@Szabby999 after you install the modlist, using the program MO2 you can scroll down and find vr performance kit. You can enable/disable things from there. Yes VD is for wireless gaming. It’s the best looking way to play Skyrim VR. Link for me was too laggy. You can install the other textures using MO2 (the mod manager) making sure you disable the 2K ones

Could you please tell me, what is the method to use a new mod inside minimalistic overhaul OR use 4K texture mod instead of the installed 2K ones? I guess I would need to do something in the ModOrganizer2, but I'm not familiar how to do this. 2. Other than npcs, my hand and weapons in the game go through objects, however in YT videos I saw hands and weapons contact with objects and not going through them. What did I do wrong or how can I use this "collision" option? 3. I tried original Skyrim VR, but the story started with a dragon coming down from sky. But in minimalistic overhaul I start from a prison cell and after that my objective says "live your own life". Is this normal? 4. I had a compass down of the view that showed me the location I have to go, but now I don't have this. How to turn this on? Besides, in the upper half of the screen there is a little black space (sometimes shows an eye saying "detected), and it is pretty annoying. How can I get rid of it? @@Szabby999 1. For the texture you need to go on nexus one by one, select which one you want in 4k and install it with mo2. Follow the instructions for each mod because it might be different. 2. Don’t know why you are having problem with collisions because the physics mods should be included. 3. Yes it’s normal. If you want to start the original quest line, go back to Helgen. There is a burnt body with a letter on it. It tells you to go to whiterun and talk to the yarl. 4. You can show the compass just looking at the palm of your left hand. Don’t know about the other issue, but I think that’s normal.

Yes, a friend of mine tried it using the 2K resultino texture pack and it runs and looks pretty good. Try it out. You won’t lose much visual fidelity.

Ok, I do have some ideas that you could try. Have you tried to restore the plugin order? Which weather preset are you using? Try to go in some interior area, save the game, then you go in Mo2, change your weather to Vivid Weathers (or any other weather mod, but make sure you activate only one weather mod) then you click on the yellow arrow in the top right of MO2 that says "restore backup". Then launch the game again. Let me know if it fixes your issue.

When that happens, you just need to close and restart wabbajack. That problem depends from nexus mods servers. However if you restart it should go back where it was.

Hi there, I’ll try to help the best I can. So, first of all, I am assuming you have a legit version of Skyrim from steam. If you’re using a pirated version is not going to work. Then my suggestion is to install everything on the same drive, and I would strongly recommend SSD. You’ll need around 200GB of free space.

Generally when that happened to me, I just rebooted wabbajack. Eventually it sorted itself out. It could be that it’s a nexus mod issue. Perhaps also some of the mods have been removed…so there isn’t much you can do.

Hi, I've spent over 6 hours downloading all the mods using Wabbajack, but the last mod won't install. I've tried restarting the installation, changing the game language (personally, I prefer to stay in French since it's my language), but nothing works. Hey there, Thanks for your comment. The 3050 has 8GB of VRAM which can be a bit of a problem.What you should try is to reduce the resolution, disable additional TV/monitors if you are running multiple monitors, and set primary monitor to 1080p. Every bit of VRAM helps on a 8GB card. Try also to install the 2k version instead of the 4k modlist at this link: www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/83995?tab=files If everything fails, try the FUS Wabbajack (github.com/Kvitekvist/FUS ) is a more basic modlist. I hope this helps!

Hi, I think you might be able to run it because the modlist creator has downgraded the texture from 4K (the one you see in the video) to 2K. 8GB of VRAM is a bit stretched.

Hey thanks for your comment. Unfortunately this modlist is for wabbajack. You can however install the mods one by one using vortex…but it’s going to take ages and you must be careful to the order of installation, because you might get conflicts with plug-ins. Nothing impossible, but you need to be aware of that.

However a friend of mine played the game in Italian and didn’t have any issue. Perhaps, the best thing you can do is to ask him directly…maybe he knows exactly which mods can potentially cause problems. There is a link in the description to his discord. Recently SkyrimVR stopped working for me as well. I am not entirely sure but the cause might be SteamVR which was recently updated. Try to roll back to a previous version. If it doesn't work, I would recommend to contact the modlist creator on his discord (link in description). Maybe Ihe might be able to help.

@@VRDaD 4090, my main issue with FUS is sometimes the view distances look bad (I'd probably finish a whole play through before starting a new mod list though). I also have Enderal VR but it looks fine in terms of view distances

@@joejo4549 for the view distance I think the important mod is dyndoLOD, which as far as I know was maxed out in this modlist. The modlist available now is called mad god overhaul, which builds on this one. I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s on my list! Free up 350GB is not that immediate

The werewolf transform from the "Werewolf Body for VR" is showing the werewolf head in a glitchy way (like I'm riding a werewolf perspective). I already tried the suggestions on nexusmods, still haven't found a solution :/

Hey there, Thanks for your comment. The 3070 has 8GB of VRAM which could become a limiting factor. If you decide to download this modlist and try it out, what you should try is to reduce the resolution, disable additional TV/monitors if you are running multiple monitors, and set primary monitor to 1080p. Every bit of VRAM helps on a 8GB card. Try also to install the 2k version instead of the 4k modlist at this link: www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/83995?tab=files If everything fails, try the FUS Wabbajack (github.com/Kvitekvist/FUS ) is a more basic modlist. How many fps would i get on a 3090?

Hi there! I’ve got a 3090 as well. So the fps will depend a lot on where you are in the map. However I get 90 fps in interiors areas, and on average 60-70 fps in exteriors. However in exterior areas, there places where I saw dips into the 45 fps. Having said that, as a fps freak, I can tell you that the game is absolutely playable. I could squeeze more fps if I wanted to, for example tweaking VR performance kit and setting it to balanced (I use quality) and perhaps reducing some other setting, but to be honest I like it the way it is. In the end, unless you have a 4090 you need to compromise a bit. I saw a video of a 4090 struggling to keep 70 fps in exterior areas. Oh and last but most important thing, it will depend on your headset resolution as well, and you need to be careful not to stack super sampling!!! That’s absolutely key!

@@RIP123 You're welcome! :) So I use a Quest 2 at it's native resolution. Steam VR must be set at 100% because then I use Virtual Desktop in Ultra, which applies some supersampling (I think it's equivalent to about 150%). So you really need to be careful not to stack up all the supersampling bits.

Hi there! Thanks for your comment. They are not my wabbajack, I am not the author of the modlist. I am just a random dude who downloaded the wabbajack and loved it. Apparently it works 🤷🏻‍♂️ if wabbajack get stuck chances are that you forgot to do something. Or it’s a problem of nexus mod server. I got some errors a couple of time, restarted and the progress resumed from where it was. There is the link to the discord of the modlist creator. He can help you solve your issues.

@@VRTimeFun nice to hear that it works now. I have a RTX 3090. The only in-game setting I changed is the Dynamic Resolution (I disabled it). Then i fiddled a bit with the gras fading and tried to find an optimal place compromising between performance and looks. Other than that, you need to be careful to resolution multiplayers. I use virtual desktop on ultra settings which is equivalent to 150% steam vr resolution. So I set steam vr on 100% to avoid the two to overlap and massively reduce the performance…these things stuck up, so be careful to that. Then play a bit with the VR performance kit mod you find in MO2. I set it on quality. Other than that I don’t recall anything else in particular. This is the important stuff.

Look, I'm going to say something a bit controversial but it seems so janky and colours are overblown to smithereens, probably run like thrash on most computer if at all, you need 480 mods, i don't think this qualify as best VR game ever at all my dude

Not controversial at all. I understand where you are coming from. At times it could be janky, but you'll be surprised how good it is once you try it. Regarding the colours, you can change the settings! I like more saturation and bloom for more fantasy-like syle, but of course you can go with other weather/lighting mods (already in the modlist) to have a more realistic look. Remember this is a game that came out 11 years ago and then ported to VR with extreme lazyness from Bethesda. It shouldn't have even existed in the state it was at launch (2017 for the VR version). The mod community made literally miracles and saved the game. Find me another open world adventure of the calibre of Skyrim in VR that you can spend hundreds of hours in it, and then I will agree with you. Oh and about performance, it runs pretty decently on my system. As I explain in the video, this modlist is designed for systems with RTX 3090 and above. So it is not for all users...but it is for high end gaming PCs.
