Oh Gleba... I feel you either need constantly moving belts that filter out spoiled gunk, or robot malls. I went robot mall, but even then I had a few gunk ups before I found out that 'trash unrequested' got rid of spoiled intakes. What was harder was learning that EVERY BUILDING that uses nutrients needs a inserter ready to pull out spoiled items if needed. I've had the nutrients spoil and then gum up the machine so it wouldn't take more nutrients. That was fun. Also I love your spaceship design of just a crap ton of walls to tank the asteroid damage. Shame they nerfed it.

FYI Trupen, for auto save I recommend Linux, or at least running the factorio server in WSL. A feature of the Linux operating system allows Factorio to save in the background, without pausing the game

On a serious note, you can run a headless factorio on a linux machine and enable async saves on it and run the game there and just connect to it from your machine. I think it might be possible to do it in windows using WSL but I haven't tried it.
