Gala has such a strange history. School swimming gala was not enjoyable, hundreds of miniature future adults screaming and the noise echoing like you know what. This video redefines, that much maligned term. How the little adults of times past have changed. Calming beauty is how I will describe this Gala. Lovely examples of rakes with superb camera work and sound engineering, thank you Lewis for your love of our hobby and sharing it all with us 👍👍👍👍

Pure class. The more we see of this station the more in awe I am with the whole thing. Tunnel, onto a smooth bend, over the bridge and the sweep round the platform... There's no wonder this is winning attention on forums and Hornby magazine. Only issue I have Lewis is now I can't help to be disappointed with the lack of the sounds when Oliver and I are playing on our tiny oval 😂

Hi Lewis, that was a brilliant watch, what a gala. I thought some of those trains you filmed as through trains must have been pretty near the end of the platform when you stopped them, great filming though. Oh I liked the Ivatt tank push-pull, I don't know if yours is, and it really doesn't matter, but did you know Bachmann actually did a push-pull Ivatt tank many years ago, I seem to remember! Just absolutely loved this one. YDMR seems to have grown onto me with this exceptionally well charactarized station and surrounding area with a real good hustle&bustle rail traffic scene depicting an economic boom in what is a 1950s to maybe early 70s town hope the description is adequte😅 fabulous, Mouldy
