Very few gaming announcements even hold my interest, let alone get to excited. Seeing how much love and effort seems to have gone into the remake, instead of a simple port update, has me genuinely excited for its release. Awesome video! But I do think there was one minor fact that could've been on there, I believe it's when you go into the volcano and Mario has an animation when he is falling that it looks like he is giving the finger to the camera. I noticed it once when the game first came out, but didn't really think much of it until I watched the Game Grumps playthrough and it happens to them.

In the remake they altered the casino so you no longer bet frog coins but play minigames for items. Grate Guy didnt change, the slot machine is free and the blackjack is replaced by a memory game. The Yoshi horserace is still there though.

I'm pretty sure the entry about psychopath translation is actually about the thought you read of enemies in the japanese version. Because their thoughts are different in Japanese and include popculture and anime references including Evangelinon references; which was topical in 1996.

Great video. I learned a couple things I didn't know. However, I don't know about Bowser using corpses for weapons... I mean, Mario and the Drill Claw aren't, and the Chomp Chain even bites the enemy. I feel that's just someone's twisted mind throwing conspiracy theories out there.

We're facing an interesting step into Mario games. Sure we have Wonder up ahead, but two upcoming Mario releases are RPGs. This remake, and then next year the Thousand Year Door remake, while both remakes, they're still completely new games to the wider audience, this could put a bigger light on Mario RPGs as the wider audience and niche communities start demanding more from Nintendo.
