Cheers. Have seen only one real GX here. Of the 120 generation though. I guess it is because importation of Left Hand Driven cars is a tad more difficult. But the LEXUS contribution to comfort and refinement is quite clear. Have a good one!

When you are talking about stability of Prados you have to differentiate between the 150 series and the 120 series. All the Prado accidents in Kenya where it rolled in recent years like the Rabai MP and the olympic medalist Nicholas Bett were all 120 series and that is why they were phased out. It is rare to find a rolled 150 series because as you clearly indicated there tilt ability was improved. 150 series only has occasional head on collusion but very safe like what Tuju had, based on how it crambled but they survived. Other car models that have a lower COG roll more than Prados which simply means we can as well complain about all cars being unstable. Nobody should be questioning the stability of 150 series unless they are just poor drivers.

A poor driver will roll any car even if it has wings to suspend it in the air. The sale of Prados would not attain such global success if it had stability issues. Poor drivers make errors then blame the model.

i drive 2013 V6 Petrol Prado It is a constant 4WD with central difflock only. Its very stable on Tarmac because of being a constant 4WD/ I drive at great speed with sharp turns and its amazing. If it was a RWD, it would have been really unstable. I have also done a 2 inch suspension lift with negative offset wheels. Looks monster now

Prados instability has to do with the ladder frame chasis which has weak torsional rigidity, hence flexes/twist during cornering, making the car unstable or creates a tipping-over effect.

True, with this in mind it will be unreasonable to say the least to corner with this car with speeds above 100km/HR

Congratulations on the 100k subs. I have the 1KD local VX trim local prado J150. The instability problem was a Prado J120 issue. Prado J150 is quite stable especially if it has KDSS and updated TSA. Further to this, why would you need to drive an offroad car fast? There is a reason they are called offroad vehicles and not race cars.

Leos Auto by Leonard Mware Ladder on frame four by four vehicles are horrible to drive on-road. The only advantage of a Ladder on frame vehicle is that it can easily be converted into a pick or an ambulance for example because the body is removable.

Excellent work. Prado is unstable at speeds >100 and on uneven tarmac. Even with the KDSS. Apart from the suspension, the height to width ratio is such that it is inherently unstable. Hongera kwa 100k.

Aspect ratio is what affects the stability of these cars. When you look at competitors in class like the x5, toured Omani even the papers, the width to height ratio is higher than this. But there is a give and take. Electronics can only solve for physics majinarly. That said, for those who know how to drive this, it will serve you OK.

Before I comment on the review, so your boy likes the thrill of speed but can't put his belt on? It cannot get better if you have guys in your car seatbeltless. Ask him to put his f* seatbelt on next time because in as much as you're educating us on cars we should also preach SAFETY. Otherwise, great channel. I can tell you (the presenter) know your cars well. Keep it up! The prado is a great car. Personally, I looove the GXs here in the US. Man that car is a beauty. It's luxurious and has everything you want in such a type of truck.But funny story, I always used to search for Prado here cos I wanted to buy one but didn't find it. I was like mbona US haina Prado? Then I saw the GX and I was like oooook. That's when it hit me, I don't know sh*t about cars as much I thought I knew🤣.Despite the fact that hiyo stability yake is a bother at high speeds it's a safe car. Early this year I was driving the 7seater TX hapo Mombasa Road, a trailer ran me off the road, landed in a ditch will serious damage to the front end but still it limped home. I got out without a scratch. Safetywise I give it a 10. Prado ni gari ya mature people. Not speed junkies and irresponsible drivers.
