It's great to see some 1989 love! The rest of the world thinks it is a brilliant album but it's kind of overlooked in the Swiftie community due to its popularity. It's my favourite Taylor album, and I've loved her since self-titled! People think that Red is the lyrical masterpiece and the precursor for albums like Folklore and Evermore, but I think with songs like You are in Love, Clean, Out of the Woods, and This Love it's criminal to not give 1989 the lyrical recognition it deserves (even if it is the Shake it Off album)!

The only things that I would do differently (not ranking but song choices) Soon You'll Get Better in untouchable to me. It's about her mom's battle with cancer and I just can't rank it. 2 things: First, listen to "Clean" and immediately give it a provisional to put it in your final 4. 2nd, "Shake it Off" was so slammed down our throats that it no longer gets the respect it deserves. But, considering the circumstances of how it was our introduction to Taylor's genre shift and the lyrics and production are so brilliant it should be more appreciated. And, coming off her not winning AOTY for the brilliance that was "Red", Taylor really came out swinging with Shake it Off and 1989. If I were a Taylor KZbinr, I would end every video with "three AOTY Grammy's in three DIFFERENT genres!".

FYI a single-elimination bracket will only correctly tell you who is #1 but the rest won't be super accurate because your true #2 pick could have matched up against your #1 pick before the final round. A double-elimination bracket will give you an accurate #2 and also a pretty good #3 and #4.
