The Dryad dislikes the Golfer due to the environmental damage that creating large golf courses cause. Granted, any habitat destruction is bad, but golf takes up a lot of land area for a recreational activity enjoyed by relatively few that's only usable a few months out of the year. Granted, she doesn't go into detail in her Happiness quote about him, she just says his "habits" are harmful for the environment, but it's pretty safe to assume that's what she talking about.

Hello everyone. I'm actually the one that created this iceberg! I can't believe that my little side project has gotten this far! I have thousands of hours in it, so seeing this in my recommended was spectacular! I was going to make my own video, but forgot about it. But my own would have never been this well made! I'm not sure where I first heard this, but I'm almost positive that the angel statue was originally supposed to function as the cloud in a bottle (before it was a thing ofc). Which explains why it wasn't able to be placed, it was intended to be placed in your accessory slot.

I was actually so surprised at that part of the video that I paused it and said out loud how the recipe changed The amount of needed broken hero swords never increased, in fact it always decreased, it was 3 upon release, 2 when it got removed from last step, and 1 when the 2 true swords got overhauled recipes and the broken hero sword was added back to last step

Not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet, but a quick thing about the Otherworldly Music Boxes! The music boxes are obviously more orchestral, but the songs are actually from a cancelled Terraria side game, Terraria Otherworld. Imo, they are some of the best music tracks in the game.

The lore is misleading spawned from the fact that Red himself keeps retconning the lore all the time depending on his mood. The Moon Lord was originally Cthulhu's brother, but was retconned to be Cthulhu himself. The Lunatic Cultist was retconned to being evil, to good, and now to arguably the overarching main antagonist. Since Red himself doesn't really care for the lore, other people like to make their own.

I remember in the pre golem update, 1.11 I think, if you wore frost armour or used a weapon that inflicted frostburn against the dungeon guardian it would affect him, probably cuz the devs forgot to make him immune. Also since it was 1.11 frostburn did a percentage of health overtime instead of a certain amount of damage so it did around 50 dps. I ended up getting a whole chest of bone keys to flex on my friends lol.

Isn't Moon Lord Cthulhu though? I may be misremembering the lore, but I'm pretty sure that ML is actually him. The lore also says that EoC, BoC, Skeletron, and EoW are all parts of him that were detached when dryads sent him to the moon. Prime, Twins and Destroyer were built by imprisoned mechanic who was kept in the dungeon to replace the original parts.

@@pustota7254 Originally I was going to say part of his spine had to have been ripped out due to the fact we don't see a pelvis and that's where the spine ends, but upon looking at his sprite there's just a tiny one at the lowest point of the model. I would say the EOW has nothing to do with the Cthulhu entity but I WOULD say that the Destroyer is a fragment of the skeleton that was ripped out by the dryads, or at least an upgrade to make it harder for the dryads to pull that stunt again, especially when you look at the Mechdusa boss and see that is a very plausible case.

Only knew a few of the ones deeper down, I was seriously surprised I knew about the Mechanic making the Mechanical Bosses, and I only knew that from a cool house my friend made because he knew about the Mechanic making the Mechanical Bosses. I did however, know about the Crimson being a living creature, almost like a tumor. EDIT 1: Nevermind! I also knew about the Ninja being the Guides brother, I actually only know this one from a video, I think by an old KZbinr who made Terraria animations, and he mentioned it. EDIT 2: I did know about the Super Mario Bros mod theory, only heard about that a few days ago when playing Calamity mod with a friend. EDIT 3: Final edit, as for "wxham_frame5.wxb" the "Frame5" part makes me think it was the fifth animation frame of an unused enemy, boss, or weapon. From what I saw, a WXB file is a file for a specific website, or for multiple purposes. There is a lot of talk on it playing audio though, so I'm thinking it was likely an animation for something that had sound attached to it, which made it a WXB file, since they are multipurpose. As for the "WXHAM" I've got no clue, that's just my theory atleast, it could be totally different.

When wearing Red's wings in older versions of terraria, alongside the sprint function and infinite flight, you also got a deep purpleish run trail I had a modified version of terraria back on xbox360 after my cousin brought it over and I can vividly remember. It was my first experience with the game I might be wrong about *how* the wings were obtained in the first place, but it was probably an inventory editor. dunno anything about coding and how they bypassed the whole 'dying if you wore dev gear' stuff, but I was just fine using them with my brother and cousin Also, unrelated to all of this, but I'm surprised nothing about placed wooden blocks needing an axe to break in old versions of terraria wasn't mentioned. always thought it was obscure but well known enough to be a fun bit of trivia Also, the seas of lava underneath worlds.. another surface level thing which would of been fun to mention. It even has a painting referencing it (Lake of Fire, Internal Item ID: 1501)

There was a bug in the Xbox 360 version where if you put a certain amount of dirt into a piggy bank and relog an item would show up in its place. That’s how I got reds wings and other secret items. I also got a soft ban sort of thing where I couldn’t open chests on the world I kept all my illegal items.

The yoyos are real part of the video; in-game the yoyos have the company logo in the item description. The wiki references this though I always found it weird, until I found out about it by googling how to make the accessories related to yoyos, that don't have this logo. Edit: Also, the special seeds being possible to get from a random seed is very rare. Certain biomes are hard coded to be opposite each other. For example, the Dungeon is opposite the Jungle. The ocean is always at the opposite ends of the world. The forest is always at the centre, some harder biomes can't spawn in the centre of the map. Only two special seeds (celebrationmk10 or the drunk world seeds) can happen naturally although chances are 1 in quadrillions. Special seeds like The Constant (the constant/ eye for an eye) have a screen effect that is similar to the strange radio item the deerclops drops. If you equip the item in the special seed, it returns the screen to normal. It also generates a huge amount of traps, which makes it useful for building trap arenas for bosses. It also introduces hunger and being in the dark damages you. The Drunk seed (5162020) spawns both corruption and crimson biomes, which isn't possible in normal generation. The dungeon is placed under a living tree and painted brown among other things. The "not the bees" (not the bees/not the bees!) seed replaces most biome blocks with hive related ones. The "For the worthy" (for the worthy) seed makes use of the locked skyware chest loot tables as those are replaced with locked gold dungeon chests. (It also sets the game difficulty to a hidden Legendary difficulty) The celebration seed (celebrationmk10 / 5162021) repaints most blocks in bright colours and also makes some rarer items easier to obtain (like the discount card can be bought via npc instead of via rare loot drops) A don't dig up seed (dont dig up/ dontdigup) flips how you play the game upside down, you start in the underworld and low tier ores spawn at the bottom, while the evil biomes span the top of the map. The zenith seed (getfixedboi) is a combination of the above. Although you can fight Mechdusa, the alternative to Ocram. And is summoned using Ocram's Razor, an item created from the combination of various mechanical bosses. It has a higher health pool than the moon lord even on classic difficulty.

terraria has a special place in my heart as i’ve been playing since 2014 but when explaining it to friends i give the it’s 2d minecraft but not it fullness, it’s got the same sense of creative liberty but has more weapons, bosses , blocks , items , combat and convenience features and much more and has a better sense of progression but where it lacks compared to minecraft is the artistic liberty minecraft has that makes it unique , there’s more artistic builds and machines that can be made in minecraft with occasional fighting but, there are more bosses to kill and ways to kill them in terraria and ways to be creative but in simplistic ways

31:51 Not new to me... but I think I just noticed something even MORE obscure. The current sprite for the Cell Phone appears to borrow HEAVILY from the shiny black slab sprite. It's mirrored, recolored, and has a few extra details, but the general shape and form are exactly identical. Sharper colors are used, but you can distinctly see that the glint on the upper corner of the screen has the same shape on both sprites. To my surprise, the wiki makes no mention of the similarities. 34:40 I guess this is another one of those veteran things where I remember hearing about something, obsess about it, and then never notice when it's removed. Its kinda' disappeared from my mind over the years, but I remember reading about this and always questioned if it was ever a thing since 1.2 dropped relatively quick for how infrequently this little factoid really mattered even beforehand. I'm sure a lot of people will have the same sort of reaction to the Demon Altar corruption/hallow spread, when in 5 years inevitably some OG Terrarian hears that the random block corruptions were removed in 1.4. 42:28 Surprised that this entire iceberg FAILS to mention *why* this wasn't such an outlandish exception for its time: all dev sets were not only unobtainable, but they were restricted items. They would inflict the same slurry of debuffs from the Red Potion if they were equipped without the right player name. It's quite strange to think that the items that now have a tooltip which reads "Great for impersonating devs!" used to kill you for trying. It even said "You shouldn't have this" before. Quite ominous :O 43:37 Then when type of computing does he use? Surely, he's too advanced for us all. 54:33 I think this just brought back some repressed memories. I think I actually saw this sprite sheet during the hype before 1.2. I distinctly remember seeing that 4-headed hook, above all the other things. We didn't have a crazy diversity of hooks for a long while, with just 3 beforehand. 1.2 brought us the spider hook, which is now a pretty mid option all things considered. This 4-headed hook though... come to think of it, we never really got it until 1.3. There were also only two wings pre-1.2. You know, the two that literally nobody ever uses now. Angel and demon wings? I'm sure a fair portion of players aren't even all that aware that they exist, assuming they've gravitated towards the better counterparts.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet. The Holy Hand Grenade could be a reference to WORMS. I remember in WORMS 3D, it also a Holy Hand Grenade and you could also hear a sung "hallelujah" before it exploded. Might be a nod to that, not sure though :)
