Just want to point out that apparently the speed on the Aegean chariots is a UI big from Troy, I’ve been told that in reality their speed is the same as other chariots but I haven’t been able to test it yet. I’ve been playing Thrace and I haven’t noticed their chariots performing any worse than others, in fact they seem to do extremely well for their cost.

Yes! Lower Egypt, I agree completely. It was beyond terrible. But now, with so many dudes slapping, someone's bound to get killed. If nothing else, by mistake. I actually loved going Egyptian Alexander the Great with Ramesses. It's similar to why I like playing Seti the Zerg king.

As someone who keeps playing Babylonian campaigns (it's just so fun) Akkadian militias are so good because they replenish sssooo fast thanks to one of the unique Babylonian general titles, and become much cheaper thanks to one of the others. And as I refuse to use cavalry outside of the Cimmerian units and the camels, those Akkadian Skirmishers are just *chef's kiss*. And if you take the legacy of Hammurabi and start buffing them with your military laws, these three Akkadian units and Babylon's unique archers (and Sappers) will be taking down much higher tier enemies.

I love phalanx formation, especially one with movement. You can do battle of cannes type encirclements with it by pushing mid back in phalanx retreat formation

The movement one is REALLY good in those situations,the stationary ones are pretty feelsbad for the massive attack loss. They've buffed all spearmen in the game with like + 9 def aprox, the extra tankyness gets some diminishing returns. I do love the main faction Greek spearmen for sure compared to the natives!

No problem,anytime ! Chariots are done so poorly in the game - the original idea to make them larger in unit size( to emulate "cavalry") ended up causing so many collision and gameplay issues with them...not to mention that cavalry completely overshadows them now. Don't get me to start a 3 hour rant video on top tier cav :D

@@ReptilicusTV I think that 3h rant is exactly what's needed. 😃 That being said I would be fine with some scout cav bring a latte game unlock in the tech tree but mostly just reducing the model count and just upping the lethality of chariots would already help a lot.

Tt';s just a shame the way chariots are - there are some mods that def improve them but the collision issues are just such a big problem that ruins the whole experience.

Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah lethality monstrously buffed the viability of units,but not only that,a lot of units got stat changes for the patch. F.e. spears got around 9 extra defense which is really sweet,swords got better both offensively and defensively,and they increased the minimum hit chance for everyone by about 5 % IIRC

Haribu Raiders are awesome. I still keep 1-2 of them in my army for the select purpose of finishing off routing enemies at the end of a battle. They're as close as you can come to cavalry!

Im halfway through so far and i gotta ask: how badly does disabling lethality mess up balancing in your opinion? I've been playing with it off and have been having more fun because of the slower time to kill.

Playing two battles on legendary with lethality disabled would take longer than the video XD for real tho I feel it's a lot closer to the previous version minus some specific overtuned units. It does mess up the "intended" game pace.

I didn't know that much about it, i'm more of a medieval's guy. And you make me laugh ! 😂 Im' also happy that some people stil enjoy this game ( who's not perfect) but still a good game! And as i've always see the tw franchise as a peplum-like ( as ben hur or the fall of the Roman empire), so not historical at all but great ambience and immersion, i'm enjoying it a lot! Hey,I'm *REALLY* glad you enjoy what I do here ! I love all periods tbh,this one just happens to have a really special spot in my heart! Historical-educational vids will continue,it's just gonna take a little bit more time to produce since right now I gotta push out guides to help the people ! I'll keep on the grind no matter what :D And I have the exact same bug with the Sherden and Peleset,there's also the melee defense bug - there's a bugfix mod on steam that fixes the defense bug but idk if it touches the outposts.

Honestly I'd only rank Zagros as S-tier as no faction has comparable cavalry, in other cases these units can only be good early to mid-game (unless you are playing a faction that lacks good roster) but late game there are better alternatives.

I have a question... 🤔 Can you tell me why the AI wants to donate its points to me if I do Legitimacy Support ? I don't understand why they would want to donate its legitimacy to me since they used it as a means for civil war? It doesn't make sense... The nice thing is that if you ask for little legitimacy they don't give it to you, if you ask for all of it, yes, while they are waging war on Pharaoh and with one click I would solve my problems.

I'll give you a few per culture : Chariots : - Royal Chariot Companions ( Egypt) - Maryannu Chariots ( Canaan) - Royal Hittite Chariots ( Kurunta's armored Kaskian chariots are also beastly if you are not going for the Hatti throne) - PALASTU CHARIOTS - Thorns of Thrace for javelins,Mad mares of Thrace for heavy,both are native units,you need to conquer the region for mares. Cavalry : - Assur horsemasters,if you own Assur and join the Mesopotamian court. They'll murder anything. - Cimmerian elite. They'll murder horsemasters,and anything.
