Best thing I ever did to my Dewalt DCST970. I got T-35 head, and a wider shield replacement from a Black and Decker trimer (Blacker & Decker, and Dewalt are the same Co.) and it was good money spent. 10 or 15 Min. to install everything, and I was off to the races. The string bumped out like it is supposed to, and no more grass or rocks flying around my feet or legs.

my dewalt head was super seized on. used a wood clamp to hold it and u have to turn 'clock wise' to loosen

As easy as shown to replace; BUT, the blue spot in the middle is soft plastic which wore out after 3-4 uses! They need to make this a metal button.

Bet you bought a aftermarket "for T35" head

DUH!!! The T35 is the aftermarket for the Dewalt head. Both are terrible.@@jacobclark89

Did i unsterstand you correctly… you take the dewalt head apart to respool??? Its a quick spool head no need to take anything apart
