Hi guys. I absolutely love your content and wanted to thank-you so much for all of the tips and tricks you have shared about Vietnam in the last few years. I travelled North to South last November with my partner for my VERY FIRST overseas trip. Your content was so valuable to me! Being an anxious person I cannot believe I navigated this beautiful country and it seems like a dream. Without your videos I think we would have missed so much of the good about VN and it's people. It's sad to me now that my plans to travel in 2021 are no longer on the table but im finding so much enjoyment rewatching your videos. Not sure what the future holds for travel channels like yours, but I will be watching and supporting until it's time to travel again.

Every year is something new due to economic growth. I hope that Vietnam will take care of their nature environment in future. Plastic trash is still a big problem.

GREAT help in a nice package; Fin.....LOVE the cut and color! Yowza! Question: Like Tim, I'm a longtime rider; what did he have to do to convince you to start riding yourself? HOW did you "come around" so to speak? My own journey started in my early 20's; had a g/f who's brother rode up the West Coast to Seattle to visit. He and I went out together one night on it- and I was SO impressed....I bought the exact same bike a month later. That was my first/Only experience up to that point. Never knew, never cared prior, but was smitten from Day One.

Loved your videos since the NZ ones! That’s a great point you made about the intonations in the Vietnamese language and making sure you don’t “ask” for something the way we would in English. Being Vietnamese, but growing up in the states, I just grew up with Vietnamese and English and didn’t think much of it. In Vietnamese, we would add some type of qualifier into our sentences to turn them into questions. Quick example...something like how the French would say...”you have rice, no?” If that makes any sense to you lol
@timandfin5 жыл бұрын
That makes sense! thanks for sharing ☺️ haha how did on do speaking Vietnamese?
@THuuDo5 жыл бұрын
TIM and FIN Mom and dad were really strict about speaking Vietnamese in the house. As soon as we crossed the threshold of the front door, it was to be all Vietnamese. All of my cousins grew up speaking English in the house. My aunts and uncles feared they wouldn’t learn English well enough otherwise. My parents figured, I was 3 when we moved here so I had every opportunity at school and in life in general to learn English. In hindsight, I’m glad it worked out the way it did! Anyways, I didn’t mean to ramble. I just wanted to let you guys know I enjoy your videos regardless of what country you’re in. 😊

I do recall among the Immunizations they had malaria,tetanus etc was also a series for rabies which are apparently very painful. Is that recommended for Vietnam and Cambodia myself personally i HATE needles ??

Hello guys. You, yes , YOU are doing an amazing job...but...it would help us a lot more if you SLOW DOWN. Maybe do one video about ONE location and give us all the pointers you are giving us in an accelerated mode. You can make multiple videos of one area because you are advising us about one "attraction" . It gives you a better opportunity to cover a very strategic advise and it gives us more time to choose one place at the time and decide which ones we can do in our vacation. I am planning my first Vietnam vacation in February.... Thank you lots.

From NZ. We are off to Vietnam next week for two weeks. Just wanted to know how you deal with money over there. Do you just use your credit card and take out from ATMs. I know Cash is King, so how much should we be taking out? We are looking to pay for travel from Hanoi airport to Old Town, food and attractions. Any info would be welcomed?
@timandfin5 жыл бұрын
Maureen Keene hey Maureen! You will need to use cash for almost everything outside of the big cities. Fortunately you’ll find ATMs just about anywhere you’re traveling but if your bank charges extra fees, the balance will just be taking out plenty at a time to not have to continuously pay fees. You’ll find the first ATM right at the airport and I’d recommend using that instead of brining Kiwi cash to exchange at the counter (bad exchange rate)
@maureenkeene75665 жыл бұрын
TIM and FIN thanks for that info. A little nervous to arrive with no local currency. But have some US dollars with us too. Is the limit 4 million a transaction or does it just depend on where the money machine is located? Looking forward to riding on the back of a scooter with a poncho over my head!!! You are very brave to ride over there. My husband is hoping I will give it a try.
@timandfin5 жыл бұрын
Maureen Keene typically depends on the machine itself.

Hah! That’s interesting to hear! I’m speculating- but that might be because the saying is incomplete.
