Did you ever get around to testing out the system, I built my system with the same X570 master monoblock and I have been very disappointed with its overall machined tolerances and performance. By far the worst performing waterblock I've ever used, even when compared to AIO's. It's adequate for cooling and I've been using it for over a year now, but a good air cooler would beat it for overclocking easily, and I even attempted to remount it and get more clamping force but it just isn't tight enough out of the box. EK also didn't provide any help or advice other than "it works and doesn't leak right?" So that was it.

Nice build👍 I'm currently in the process of custom water cooling my pc and it's also a white build😃just waiting for a few fittings to arrive to finish it. None of my components are new just the water cooling parts. I have a threadripper 3960X with asus trx40 prime motherboard with corsair pro white ram and a RTX 3090. I'm building in a white fractual meshify 2 case. My water cooling parts are from various manufactures. I'm repurposing a alphacool 420mm radiator in the roof and adding a ek 280mm in the front. I've decided to use corsair ml pro 140mm white fans. CPU block is a EK Velocity, GPU block is alphacool and pump res combo is a corsair xd5 white. My fittings are white from corsair and i'm using alphacool white soft tubing and clear coolant. Watching your video has made me decide to also have rear fan as intake which will give me 4 intakes vs 3 exhaust which should give a better balance as intakes are filtered. I will be using a silverstone white magnetic filter for the rear fan and attaching to the outside of the case to ease cleaning. Ive got the in and outs of my front radiator positioned at the bottom thinking this will aid draining the loop and added a t fitting with a ball valve to drain. My 3090 is a reference pcb and looks tiny compared to the evga ftw its length ends before the power plugs on the ftw and is a lot shorter too. I hope the alphacool block was a good choice it was nice that the thermal pads were pre cut and numbered. My pcie riser is the same as yours. Hopefully can finish and test it this weekend.

Very nice build Brenden! Congrats, i am also gonna make a hardline custom build with three rads but I am gonna setup things a bit different, Bottom, Top and Rear as intake, side as exhaust. Should gave you even better temps, especially CPU and VRM wise. Doesn`t sound natural as hot air rises but that`s not the case for custom water loops. Anyhow very nice video and build, liked!

This is very inspiring on 3 levels: 1. After enough persistence, you can build any PC despite the stock crisis. 2. You can build and boot up any custom PC you conceive. 3. Anyone can make a cinematic film quality production with enough effort and innovation, even without excessive fame. I also must ask, what have you/will you be using this PC for?

Great build man. What are the reservoir and the brackets you use for the pump and reservoirs? I have almost 90% of the same build but the problem I am having is the EKWB EVGA graphics card water block is causing my corsair pump/combo to be pushed at an angle. I really want to fix it. Researching led me to your great video. I really wish I had your video for planning back when I started my build about 1.5 years ago!!!

Except he probably severely overpaid for this paste and it is literally only .15 degree difference in load temps in Prime95. Yet the much cheaper Kingpin Cooling Kpx was 1.07 degrees difference, so he really should have not have bought this paste, it's not the absolutely BEST and it's like 5 times the price as anything else. Literally a waste of money.
@MrHusain5253
@MrHusain5253 3 жыл бұрын
I think you applied way too much thermal paste, you applied it like a frosting on a cake but you're actually suppose to spread it tight and thinnest layer possible. Other than that, what a fun video to watch, sweet build and setup.

This has been disproved many times. A little too much has no negative effect on thermals, but too little and your thermals are ruined. He used the correct amount.

Very nice build Congrats !! Me I’m never going to even attempt a open loop build because it’s to much of a Gamble with leaks that could be disastrous and expensive. Also the difference in the Temperatures between Closed loop And AIOs is not enough to make me want to go there. Now that Graphics card makers are coming out with AIOs for GPUs it’s not even a choice for me. It’s always going to be a niche market for Open loopers when there are much safer and less expensive alternatives.

Brenden absolutely a awesome build brother. It's a very clean and well planned build for sure. My only question is if you spent close to a $100 on Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme why didn't you spend the extra to get better pads? EK's products are great. I'm using all EK products in my current build (3x rads, 1 360 XE, 1 360 PE, 1 240 ST30 cooling a 5900x, 3090, 64gb 3600 cl 14, 2 980 pros 2tb, 2 870 evo 4tb, 2 12tb HDDs and a partridge in a pear tree) But my thought is why spend all this cash to cool a pc and then just use "ok" pads. Understand? I'm not trying to knock you.. at all. I'm just curious? Anyway again, awesome build brother. Hope you enjoy it cause I enjoyed watching you build it.

Nice build … but the way you did this makes the reservoir unnecessary Since you are doing it in an old-school way … Nowadays most people use the reservoir (with aqua pipe) to fill the loop so you will not have to use an open port that’s part of the loop In my opinion that would have made filling the loop a lot easier and would have prevented the issue with the open port you used for filling

I will for sure! This was always a curiosity of mine aswell... I'm going to do extensive testing with the current configuration and then I'm going to modify the loop so that it goes from 3090 > 360mm rad > 5950x and see if there is any difference 😎👌

@@BrendenMcKee no you don’t need to do that. It’s not possible to heat the liquid so fast that it will raise the temp only for the cpu. it will make no difference at all. you have 3 radiators. can you tell is the cpu temp pls?

i was thinking of going with the O11-XL for my build because people say it's Huge! .. glad i went with my 1000D instead! TONS of room! ;p plus i can have my top 2x480 Rads intake/outlet turned to the front of the case in case of leaks! ;p No drippy drippy over the MB or GPU, since 3090 strix oc cards are as rare as Unobtainium! lol EDIT:: Did wait FOREVER for the Corsair Fan bracket thou! .. like 5 weeks .. >.

That's awesome my man. Honestly the O11-XL is much smaller than I expected 😂. I was soo lucky everything fit with literally no space to spare!

@@BrendenMcKee yeah, it looks very small in this build, when you compare the size of the 3080 towards it o.o Did think it was larger then that, but hey, i followed my instinct, and i bought and overpriced case, that looks incredible! (Corsair 1000D) 😊 As long people are happy with what they buy, that's what matters! 😊

Everything is baller, but that TrindentZ Royal font is so ugly. It is beyond me, you are trying to show some class and use the most generic font for that? Really awesome build man, you did it so meticulously and precise. Enjoyed every second of it.

One question, how often we need change liquid I mean cryofuel inside case, is it one time at year or after few months....or every few years....
@BrendenMcKee
@BrendenMcKee 3 жыл бұрын
It is recommended to be changed every 12 months or 1 year. But, I've seen many people run their coolant for as long as 3 - 4 years. Which I don't recommend, but hey some people don't really care about their loop getting "cloudy" or slightly reducing their coolants performance.
@BrendenMcKee
@BrendenMcKee 3 жыл бұрын
Personally, I will most likely change my coolant every 6 - 12 months.

this video looks like it was a lot of effort. nice build, you and i have basically the same build same parts and monoblock.. question, what are your temps on your cpu.. this 5950x is hot af. im idling at like 50c and when going all core i can see 84c. im running it with 2 ek pe rads w/ unifans.

Thank you! It sure was a ton of effort. Relieved to be done, haha. Oh that is awesome! Yeah... I was also really shocked when I started up my first game of Warzone and noticed the 5950x was twice the temperature as my GPU. Apparently, the 5950x just runs really hot and it is totally normal. I haven't done any benchmarking yet, but taking a look at my temps I seem to be getting similar temperatures as yourself. I will need to do some more testing though to get accurate readings. I will for sure keep you posted when I do! 👍

@@BrendenMcKee so i figured out that when PBO is enabled, it gets hot under load. turned off PBO and in the bios and re-ran tests everything is a lot a better. like max is 77c and idle is in the 50s that i cant get rid of thats idle temp is normal.
