WaW and BO1 the best in terms of atmosphere and mystery, they were always keeping the players theorising, only gives small pieces of the puzzle. Bo2 and Bo3 zombies were great but they ruined the whole atmosphere and paved the path for all that bullshit.

Trust me I loved the og story line, it was a huge obsession of mine, but i honestly would’ve also loved if it went in the direction WaW was originally going in where instead of a bunch of universe stuff it was more about creepy experiments the nazis did, occult stuff and urban legends

Yeah, as an old school cod fan who grew up playing them in order and still thinks WaW is the best. I feel like they finessed us because I thought it was going to be some cold hitler zombie army typa of thing but I feel like has other games came out with similar ideas and copied it. They went down this weird rabbit hole of weird universes and shit so idk it’s bs to me. But yeah had I known waw and bo1 and maybe bo2 were the only goodish one I’ve probably would’ve been a happier person

Yeah, I think the only reason they decided to bring more magic, godly entities, keepers and stuff was because they wanted to explain every single thing about zombies gameplaywise, from the wallbuys, the perks, the mystery box and such, even tho nobody really wanted an answer to those questions in the first place. They literally pulled out a "yeah, a wizard did it" with dr. Monty. I don't dislike how the storyline went after bo2 but it kinda bothers me how they had to bring us primis instead of ultimis because they wanted to take themselves more serious

There was actually a pseudo music EE on Nacht der Untoten. In the box room, there was a radio you could knife. The first knife turned it on and every subsequent knife switched between 8 different tracks

The Paris map was original Moon btw, In interview these developers talk how Paris Eiffel Tower was the "starting ground" and youd have to get lighting bolt to strike on top of Eiffel in order to power the teleportation

Monkeys also scream when on fire on Gorod and I'm pretty sure on tranzit too. If I remember correctly they have to be thrown into lava and bounce out on to normal ground or land on a crack that has lava under it. It's really finicky though because they normally get destroyed when they land in lava

Im actually a local from Walbrzych. Pre war it was called Waldenburg. My grandparents lived in Walim which is like 4 kilometers away from the "Mines" as we called them. During the war the Germans used to develop the V2 and produce the V1 in the mines using Slave Concentration Camp labour. Its actually a really interesting place to visit. We had a school trip when i was a kid. There is approximately 30 km worth of tunnels in the Owl Mountains streching on each side of the mountains woth multiple exits. However non of them leads to Castle Książ in Walbrzych. It wouldn't be too deemable. Castle Książ was more of a leisure place for the Germans although multiple tunnels were diacovered beneath it shortly after the war. Im pretty sure one of them was trapped woth explosives so no further investigations went ahead as local authorities fear that if a chain link explosion occurs the castle might be destroyed. Now hear me out. There were reports of the Germans utilizing the tunnels beneath the castle for storage and even had a railway system. No one knows what they stored beneath the castle hence why the whole "amber chamber" and "gold train" myth comes into play. A.H himself stayed in the Castle for 3 months as it is a place of aristocracy. Overall within the local population there is countless of myths in regards to the two places especially the mystery beneath the castle. Some people believe that the Nazis were still around shortly after the war inhabiting the tunnels and kidnapping folk. [Probably just a story to scare kids away from escaping old ruins because of undetonated ordnance]. Apparently the area of Sudety Mountains and góry sowie was grounds where Germans used guerrilla tactics against the soviets. As a kid i used to go mushroom picking in the local forests with my uncle when i was a kid, it wasnt hard to find, shells, belt buckles ive even found a stahlhelm. I must say that the more dense the forest got the more you'd feel a sensation of being watched. My grandfather used to tell me stories of an old German man who used to live in Rzeczka, [Very Close to the Rise Mines]. He said that anytime theyd go to the forest when he was a kid the man would chase them out. He eventually passed away and the house went for closure or something. When the house was being cleared out they discovered an SS ID booklet belonging to the Man along with other "memorabilia".

I think I was around 6-7 years old when I (more like my mom) got me WaW. I had played zombies with my friends before so I knew it was in the game but when I loaded up WaW and didn’t see zombies I thought I had gotten ripped off… to my surprise when that cutscene came out once you passed the game I was grinning so much and enjoyed my first solo zombies!

I used to only open the help door but I’ve found I can go much higher by using the stairs. When you have the help door open it’s easier imo to get pinched by zombies when farming so I run routes through the back room and shoot while they come down the stairs
