The peas are sorry they encroached. They couldn’t help it. They’re social climbers. 🤭

I love your list! Your aesthetic is definitely more me than most of these inspo lists I have seen lately so thank you! Also I hear you on the SAD and it getting dark at 3! Just hang on for a little longer, days will be brighter soon!

I’m really rocking 😉your droll, self deprecatory sense of humor. Thanks for the giggles and bringing my attention to patterns I’d not yet seen.

I’m planning a round yoke colorwork, too. They were super fashionable in the late 70s, early 80s and I once borrowed one from my big sister’s friend to wear to the youthclub. Been searching for a pattern to recreate it and haven’t found it yet. I have a ravelry bundle, though, and here are some of my current favourites: the Fenna Cardigan by Kathryn Ashley-Wright, the Melby Yoke by Gudrun Johnstone, the Calypso Carigan by Black Cat, the Hawthorn by Marie Wallin, the Sweetshop by Tincan Knits, the Glaswegian Cardigan by Amy Christoffers, and the Hot Cocoa Cardi by bunnymuff. Drops also has a lot of lovely, free options x

I think all you need to do to get your colourwork jersey to a cardigan is to set up a steek strip down the centre (just add in the extra stitches for it, don't subtract from the pattern count). Then you would knit the collar and the button bands. Edit: no you are right there is maths! You would have to remove the stitches that you would want to have as the width of the button band. So if you wanted it 6 stitches wide then you would have to remove 3 stitches either side of the centre front - then put the steeking strip in there. At least this works in my head....

that is exactly what i would do as well! but i don't even think you would have to add a steek strip if you didn't want to do the math. i have steeked before by just felting and sewing down the colourwork on either side of where i cut and it worked out fine (even without adding a designated steeking strip)

Okay to round out the cables vs colour work argument. Colour work is festive and that can be subtle or like full on. And cables gives back to school think irine lin, academia ya knowwww also I think a cable vest is more popular than a colour work one. So I think it makes perfect sense

The Harris Hood is great, but I would recommend to knit the neck a little longer. When you wear the hood “on” it tends to sort of separate from your coat which results in a cold neck 🥶 Just a couple of centimeters more will do. Thanks for all the inspiration you share!

You might like the Equinox cardigan by Brienne Moody. It's a colorwork yoke cardigan.

the tomato jumper is legit so cute tho, no justification needed - same goes for the apple scarf, which i'm pretty sure has a crochet version as well
