Almost all Yak-3s are excellent energy fighters, has very good maneuverability compared to its counterparts, excellent speed at low to medium altitude and a ridiculously good rate of climb. I had the honor of having the French premium yak-3 at br 4.0 and grinded half the French air tree with it within 3 days! I use the Yak-3P for my 5.3 USSR tank line up. Gotta admit, its hella fun shooting down chunky enemy planes with heavy bombs in tank rb lol

Yak 3 was a scary bird IRL as well with pretty good performance at low and mid altitude.. however not very forgiving to unskilled pilots despite you can often read the opposite. It was more related to much heavier Yak 9, which was more stable and predictable. Pure joy is this plane, but one must always check the speed when diving.. nice and passionate review mate! Let's wait for more to come! :)

Yeah agreed, unskilled or beginning pilots will be hard pressed to make this work, just like i couldnt in my early RB days.

Yak-7B has the same armament set up as the Yak-3 But sitting at BR 2.3 You probably should revisit it as your last video on it is about 2 years ago I still haven’t grind through rank iii Soviet so Yak-7B is currently my favourite

Yep. Exactly as I expected. Just such an amazing plane. Ever since I first got it, the speed, the climb through 4000 meters being arguably better than the 109F-4 were amazing. Then it turns well, it's energy retention and conversion rate is just ridiculous. Even a 109 with an energy advantage can and will struggle with a properly flown Yak-3. The further the fight goes below 5000 meters, the greater the chance that the Yak 3 will come out on top. I even dueled a friend of mine who was flying the C205 Serie 3. The planes are surprisingly well matched. It is a plane I feel is excellent in ever category except dive speed limit. The only real thing you need to look out for. As far as the plane itself.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the NS-23-s among the best cannons. Possibly the best guns in the game, along with the Swedish Akan 13.2-s. Both works perfectly with default belts, too.

Visual indicator for undercarriage folding system When your landing gears retract, those sticks will retract too and vice versa

I honestly always liked the yak-9u better br for br. Same guns, wep, similar speed and climb and better maneuverability at only a .3 br raise make it a much better plane for me.

the standard yak3 has a better place at 5.0 and not the yak 3p. It's flight performance is better; it's faster, it's more agile, it's easier to avoid ripping and doesn't really have any problem when 109s try to trap it on spirals, unless yak 3's energy state is way worse.

@ I don't feel like the engine is better, the entire plane feels junky while flying and the guns are just terrible for some reason. Had fun with all Yaks at that tier but this one was just a pain to play for me.
