I don't get what OofieTV means with "not used to this kind of structure" when it's always the same experience for every gacha launch. It was never pull the shiny new character and do endgame instantly in gacha launches, that's only on the subsequent updates where most people have finished building up their units. The launch is always slow since everyone is still building up for endgame. Did people forget what we did during HSR 1.0? We did the exact same thing as we did in Genshin, Wuwa and ZZZ 1.0. We finished the story, reached content wall, and spammed our stamina equivalent on relics and tried to do "endgame" as far as we can.

My most unpopular opinion is that I like the TV system and I think it's a great way of showcasing a story as opposed to just watch the characters stand there and talk the whole time until a cutscene pops up, it's very innovative to me! And I'm not even too big of a fan of the game for other reasons, but the TV system is most definitely not one of them

no way people is preferring listening yapping, yapping, yapping, and then some more nonstop yapping with the exact same NPC like animations for EVERY single character rather than a combination between TVs comics cutscenes and normal dialogs (with every character having DIFFERENT poses i mean every single one of em' have different movements), its just wild, it got overhated, story has always been a chore in gacha games, now people attributed story chore issues to the TV system itself, when its really an upgrade from what we've seen (genshin being on the extreme of unskippable yapping, HSR too, and WuWa being on the other extreme where they let you skip the uninteresting story WITHOUT context without resumes, ZZZ lets you skip, lets you rewatch the story and every cutscene, and gives you a little overview of what its happening before you skip, not to mention its only dialogs and you can't skip tvs so you know wtf is happening)

​@@NFYTAs someone who did not play any of the other Hoyo games but I do play ZZZ every day and enjoy it, I have to say that the difference is when it comes to stories where it's mostly just yapping, you can generally skip it and get straight to the gameplay, the TV's force you to go through this stupid minigame that most people (myself included) don't like. Also ZZZ doesn't let you skip all the cutscenes, there are some you are forced to watch. I think it's great that some people like the TV's, but the majority of people do not, so I think an option to skip the TV's for those who do not like them would be a great change all around, the people who like them can do them and the majority who do not can skip past them, this would not require much work from the devs either.

@@Tsukiiyo7 they get way better at endgame, so i don't care about TVs now, matter of fact i love them now, the gameplay loop of TVs for hollow zero is rlly good, they could've added a skip button that is true, but im neutral about it, if they added a skip button i'd use it, but then i wouldn't be able to get to know the characters, in genshin im so attached to a lot of characters, exactly bc there's no skip so at least something stays with me, what do you think it happens with wuwa with full skip? I don't care about anybody, so its good that they add skip, but then its also really bad and i understand that, if you're given the choice straight in your face its like "nah i'd skip" (just like when you get op in minecraft), but when you don't have that choice you change your thinking and be like "may aswell pay attention to the story it seems interesting"

@@NFYT I get what you're saying, I just think that everyone has different things that they want out of a game. For example, myself personally, I ignore the story for most games I play, whether they have a skip button or not. I will literally turn away and watch a youtube video or something rather than watch a cutscene I'm not interested in lol. Granted this isn't always the case, but I think giving players the choice would be the best course of action.

Here's the rub I don't think a lot of people are gonna vibe with it: Not every gacha game is gonna get YOU. And That's OK. Seriously. It's not the end of the world. Some games need story because there are people who care about that (Wuwa is a big example here, great combat and wonderful exploration, it's almost perfect but the characters and story fucking sucks imo and I lost interest in it, thus stopped playing), and then there are games where people care more about combat but sometimes developers care more about story over combat since they are mobile games and want the casual experience. We also don't know ZZZ's projected business plan, or their budget when to comes to implementing other game modes. There might be future combat options in the future to intermingle with the 'movie genre' angle the game is going in. We can't fit a Square peg in a round hole when it comes to what fans want and sometimes we just have to accept that you gave the game a good honest try and that maybe it's not content for you, that's alright, you can always make content of something else man :D

There's the sunken cost fallacy of time and money as well that can get overwhelming and make it hard to take a step back sometimes. It makes waves on social media because the internet makes it so much easier to have that tribe mindset, and when we get CCs with strong voices like Pokke or Tectone, it's easy to nudge where the drama can go based on data or, literally drama. It's all for the ad revune for the CCs and ultimately it builds press for the games, so it's a win-win for the companies. It keeps the games relevant compared to other games without as much clout. And if you know how to pull back and think about it at that scope, like you said, you enjoy whatever you want privately. We just gotta get the bros to take a breath and maybe look at a picture of grass to consider the possibilities, then we can enjoy shit again

Mtashed really should just start playing MMOs. Why does he even bother playing gacha games when he is already aware that it is not catered towards him? (Actually the answer is money). I am enjoying ZZZ a lot, but I do have to say Hexjuice was right when she said they basically lied about the "180 free pulls." They already have a history i've heard, of barely ever giving out any pulls for free and Hoyo games are still extremely popular. Lying about is is just scummy for no reason. Also they need to give us a SKIP button for the TV's and add some more difficult content to the game combat wise, there is some in hollow zero for example, but you have to get through miles of TV's to get to it. This is my own opinion and nobody should get personally offended by it, I promise the multi-billion dollar company does not need anyone to defend them lmao.

you know back in days games are so simple . there are game like dota or wow if you don't invest time you won't enjoy it. or just simple game where you just go around smashing things gta. shooting birds or just 2d figher game where you just smash move and love it when you see them kicking ass.no one would play civ games if you want to enjoy the game right away. really if you enjoy single player games there is no way you won't enjoy zzz. ppl say it took a lot of time to enjoy the game but that is not true. tv puzzle are nc brake between each combat . and being ez at start give me time to understand the combat system without getting lock behind hard content . and they made sure game can be play by just smashing thing so casual won't have hard time. really it was 8.5 out of 10 for me it was almost perfect.

Personally, i think that zzz is a 8.5 or even 9 out of 10 and a game i can see myself playing for a long time. Simply because of fomo(fear of missing out). Usually, theres a main character(lumine/aether, caelus/stelle, etc) that has constellations or eidolons directly tied to either story progression or exploration. In this game, theres nothing tied to the exploration other than more xp and the chromies. Another main reason is the dailies take basically nothing to do. Just open your shop, then visit some other shops and youre done. Its good for casuals that simply just want to see the story and enjoy playing the game. The only bad thing i see in the game currently are the lots of random yapping in the story for seemingly no reason. Combat seems pretty good for a casual player, but no genuine hard mode that isnt just make the enemies hp sponges definitely might suck for hardcore players. TV mode isnt bad but i do agree that having it on really serious moments like a bomb train does ruin the story. Though, i feel that the tv feels much better than just talking to the characters or npcs in idle animations.

Oofie so real for that comment about petite women always being children in gatcha. I was so bummed when they made Pela a child when everything about her seemed to be like she was a working adult in her late 20's at least. As someone from a family of petite women, who has dated petite women, them constantly being infantalized and treated like pedo-bait instead of just being an adult woman just with a specific body type is so tiresome. Like, just like short women be adults, and same with short guys. I'm up to stage 4 and it's really just the same thing. But its somehow even worse when some of them are just slow pokes and don't even try to hit you in between dazes. Stage 9 and 10 of blue shiyu D have some decent fights but the only actual good fight in the game IMO is the final boss of the 1.0 story which they realistically won't put in Shiyu defense.

The main reason I dropped all of the hoyogames is bcuz exploring around the map. I like the tv and it makes the combat/mission more "fast paced". (I drop hsr cuz I took 40 minutes of collecting buff at SU & 20+ turns just to lose from Cocolia. For genshin I drop, cuz sumeru world quests take so long. Ye I have a skill issue basically.)
