Ted Kaczynski (aka The Unabomber) was convicted for a string of postal bombings that spanned two decades. Unravel the mystery alongside the FBI's greatest law enforcers and forensic scientists.
#TheFBIFiles #TrueCrime #Unabomber
Season 1 Episode 10: Ted Kaczynski was a recluse who spread terror through the mail for 18 years, but he wasn't known as the Unabomber until his brother tipped off the FBI. Kaczynski's Manifesto, published in major newspapers, set off a flurry of activity for the FBI: writing analysis and comparisons, DNA gleaned from a single postage stamp which finally lead to Kaczynski's arrest at his tiny cabin.
The FBI Files is an American docudrama that takes a look behind the scenes of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's crime laboratory.
Real FBI cases are recounted through reenactments and interviews, due to the sensitive nature of the show, viewer discretion is advised.

Well the cops were the ones that decided to publish the manifesto so it was the result of their work that his brother was able to recognize the work.

It’s always the perp that ends up getting themselves caught. No matter how smart they are they all do a stupid thing that ends up getting them caught. Cops collect the crumbs and hope for a mistake to be made.

Well kelly star, just where did he get to bomb making money from and it shows that ever package bomb he made and sent off he took a trip to a different place to mail it right.i own my own small plane now but it does cost me money for that now,so how did he pull all the bombing off now.and where did he get his bomb parts to now,the FBI could have traced that one to because they examined ever bomb peace that he ever made and should have knowed where each peace had came from.and I just dont think he was going into that small town near him and buying it at his local hard ware store eather right.and gun power now to,well I do own quite a fue guns myself and do reload my own ammo with the same power that he was using now.and he had to be checked for that now to because I have been, its just kind of crazy all the things he got away with with being cault and with out having a great deal of money to do this with now.im pretty sure he done it but where's the coming from is my question is all now!!!!!?????

"Before we even knew the name Ted Kaczynski, we knew we were dealing with a disgruntled genius." Actually, in one of the FBIs more brilliant "profiling" analyses, they stated that he was probably someone with little education. Turned out he was a Harvard grad with a Ph.D. in math from the University of Michigan.

In this case, becoming accessories in crime was not the proper option.

@@albertseabra9226there are family members of missing people, murder victims and SA who suspect that family members of the people last seen with their loved ones know more than they’re saying but are refusing out of loyalty to their family. I know of a missing person’s cold case that’s almost 40 years old where the friends of the missing person have lied to authorities about events and the family suspects that the friends families might know or suspect more but aren’t sharing. If a family member flipped and revealed what happened that night to their loved one, it would give them answers and they would be able to close the book on the disappearance and hopefully bury the remains.

Mark 1.15 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Hebrews 11:6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Jesus

The thing I remember most about this case is the book Robert Graysmith put out so quickly about this case right after Kaczynski had been arrested. How he got that much detail that fast was extremely impressive. It's a fascinating read. One of the classmates in high school I think it was that said it was hard to see him as a person and not a walking brain. So I think he really was extremely introverted and really intelligent which probably made it hard to relate to the people around him which forced him more into isolation. That’s just my 2 cents. How did he have the money to travel, rent hotel rooms and buy the supplies and postage he needed for the bombs? These documentaries always leave that out but it's an important piece of the puzzle.

He didn’t have any money he lived in the woods in a shack and he mailed the bombs also the bongs were made out of strap metal/rocks/sticks and stuff he found in the woods.. thankfully he didn’t have the resources and money for supplies and travel because he was very intelligent and very Capable of making more fatal bombs but couldn’t do so.. Netflix has a unabomber docuseries you should give it a watch it tells you about his entire life and the crimes he committed!

Sally Lauper there are some people who are experts in different types of food that consult for cases. The state of a food item could give an indication of when the crime occurred. Different brands, flavors, and combinations in sherbet and ice cream can change how long it takes to melt, warm up, and sometimes have the ingredients separate. If you found a melted bowl of ice cream that’s still a bit cold at a crime scene, it can indicate when the event began/the bowl was abandoned. I had a forensics professor talk about this a few times during class.

Actually he chose the right way. He wrote a long essay, in haste however, detailing the negative effects of the industrial revolution. And to publicize this essay he did the most shocking and newsworthy thing possible, in a proper context of course. The only reason why ANYONE knows about his essay at all is because of his campaign. If he had done literally anything else, nobody would have cared. What were his other options if you are so qualified to criticize his actions? Go door to door like a Jehovah's Witness? Get turned down by publishers?

Oh yes, such original idea. So smart. Its the same idea as Terminator for Christ's sake. And about a million other stories dating back to forever. " Technology is destroying our world." What fuzzy thinking.

Scary isn't it." Oh yes. So eerie. Technology has good AND bad. Mind fucking blown. It really makes you think...

I almost cried when I read that we are at the tipping point of irreversible global warming. Used to be that if you had a bad day you could sleep on it and chances were things would be better the next day. Now we won't even have a next day. I believe in public transportation as a way of reducing pollution and indeed for 20 years I didn't own a car and took public transportation to work. I see the Bay Area Rapid Transit is steam rolling through by expanding lines and creating paths for tracks and stations. There is going to be a cataclysmic earth quake in the San Francisco bay area.
