Sally Lauper there are some people who are experts in different types of food that consult for cases. The state of a food item could give an indication of when the crime occurred. Different brands, flavors, and combinations in sherbet and ice cream can change how long it takes to melt, warm up, and sometimes have the ingredients separate. If you found a melted bowl of ice cream that’s still a bit cold at a crime scene, it can indicate when the event began/the bowl was abandoned. I had a forensics professor talk about this a few times during class.

It wasn't really his brother, in fact was his brother's wife who realized it way before his brother and convinced him by showing him newspapers and articles about unabomber.... His brother in fact never knew about existing a bomber until 1994 cus he wasnt reading a newspapers until his wife started showing him and pointing at his brother... Even than it took some time to convince him its really him, he was protective about him in fact saying he would never do it

8:31: “There once was a woman named Rose, who used to snort coke though her nose, the brand that she used left her dazed and confused, so she typed all her notes with her toes.” I wonder if that is actually what he wrote in real life.

I am 39 years old, and I could never forget this man. The Unabomber scared us all from opening mail. The same as the DC Sniper (John Allen Muhammad and Lee Boyd Malvo) scared us from going out in public, Richard Reid the Shoe Bomber scared us from flying commercially, Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols made us afraid to visit any local or federal government buildings, and 9/11 scared us all to stay out of important skyscrapers (which shocked me and I spent the next four days on my couch unable to eat or drink, seized in fear and shock), not to mention the 1994 bombing of the WTC towers, which I also distinctly remember from when I was a kid. At least our government were able to find all of those who were responsible for these crimes and get them off the streets. Thank God for our great detectives.

LOL, none of those scared me or mine from anything. Only the cowards cowered. At 39, you're just a pup. Your gooberment didn't find nothing. Citizens did the work for them. lol Re-reading your comment, I hope like hell you're being sarcastic.

The least the police could do is to warn the people thru media that do not open packages from unknown sources.

Widespread panic and copycats of a terrorist, let alone a serial bomber, are two things that the FBI fears having to deal with.

I love how this documentary shows the pain of realizing that a family member might be a murderous terrorist. No other documentaries I've seen have detailed that so well.

When Ted bombed in Sacramento I was 75ft away in an apartment building next to the building at first I thought the police were kicking in the door and I looked out the door and there was smoke coming up from the ceiling. I had no idea till I seen what happen on the news. But there were feds and police there for 3days and the street was closed for a few days. And there was a lady that was a mass murder that buried old people in her back yard she took in old people and collected there social security and killed them and buried them in the back yard

In almost every episode in the series, they explain why the FBI & not local police had jurisdiction. For example it wasn't until depression era finance reforms that the federal government insured every deposit [up to 250K]. So that means if a FDIC backed bank gets robbed the FBI by law automatically gets jurisdiction. Another example is assassinating or attempting to, a US president. It wasn't until after the Kennedy assassination that the US congress passed a law mandating it a federal crime, so it was the Dallas PD that took charge of investigating.

I recently finished reading Ted Kaczynski's works, Technological Slavery and Anti-Tech Revolution, and I must say, they were absolutely captivating! Kaczynski's deep insights into the dangers of technology and his thought-provoking arguments made for an incredible read Highly recommended!. #RipTed.
