#TheFBIFiles #TrueCrime #FullEpisode
Season 3 Episode 14: In Nyack, New York, an armored car robbery left one guard dead and another critically wounded. The FBI suspected domestic terrorists with a history of violent crime. Their investigation led them to the Black Liberation Army and the Weather Underground.
The FBI Files is an American docudrama that takes a look behind the scenes of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's crime laboratory.
Real FBI cases are recounted through reenactments and interviews, due to the sensitive nature of the show, viewer discretion is advised.

What is the opinion of modern day law enforcement. , on civilians owning military grade assault rifles?
@jakesoros2376
@jakesoros2376 Жыл бұрын
@@sirvilhelmofyonderland Most police don't have a problem with it because they know the overwhelming majority of those rifles are in good hands and won't be used against them. They tend to have similar mindsets to the people who lawfully own those firearms in the first place, namely, the police do a good job, but they can't be everywhere at once, and with a huge recidivism rate among American criminals, over 70% of which are hardened violent felons, the average citizen needs to be able to protect his family, property, and himself if necessary until law enforcement can arrive. In an age where police numbers are dwindling, response times grow ever longer, and sometimes politicians will ensure police can't patrol an area at all (see CHAZ/CHOP in Seattle, Washington), there are times when nobody is coming to rescue you, except for yourself.

Bill Clinton (D) and Andrew Cuomo (D) each commuted the sentences of individuals responsible for this crime. Susan Rosenberg, along with over a dozen other left-wing terrorists and murderers, was granted clemency by Bill Clinton (D). Andrew Cuomo (D) commuted the sentence of Judith Alice Clark, after repeated nuisance appeals failed to get her a retrial. Were it not for the actions of Bill Clinton (D) and Andrew Cuomo (D), all of those responsible for this crime would have either died in prison, or been released only while gravely ill.

@CTF WB At least he tried going in a direction that was good other than doing what his dad did. I' a 60 year old white grandmom of 17 and I love Tupac's music. It's a shame he was taken from life so young. Imagine how much more he could have given us. I'm not into rap as a norm. I just liked Tupac , Easy E and Bone Thugs. I still listen to them often. Also Tupac was born long before this went down. I don't know if he was born in prison, I never heard that but I'm going to look into it. Yes, said he was born in jail and raised in Oakland.

These reenactments are pretty good. Actors that resemble their counterpart and can play the part well. What will always get me is the more modern vehicles that show up right in the shot or barely out of the subject area. Despite that, the use of older vehicles and trucks for the portrayal of what the subjects had is great.

Marilyn Buck, who served more than two decades in prison for her role in the 1981 Brink’s armored-car robbery in Rockland County, N.Y., in which three people were killed, died on Tuesday at her home in Brooklyn. She was 62. The cause was uterine cancer, according to the Plaza Jewish Community Chapel in Manhattan. Because of her illness, Ms. Buck was released from the Federal Medical Center, Carswell, in Fort Worth, on July 15. She is survived by three brothers. The Brink’s robbery endures in the national memory as a powerful example of a politically motivated act gone violently awry. Carried out by a coalition of radical groups that included the Weather Underground and the Black Liberation Army, the holdup netted nearly $1.6 million, which was recovered immediately. Two police officers and a Brink’s guard were fatally shot in the course of the holdup, which unfolded in and around Nanuet, N.Y., on Oct. 20, 1981

We don't need people from Heaven. We need ordinary people who know their rights and duties. Anyone may arrest anyone committing a violent crime, even if the perp is a cop. @@dcs002 yeah exactly, but practically speaking, it will be difficult for most people to stop and hold up a fleeing gang member in a shootout. that was brave and commendable. Most people in this town are about "minding my business"
@dcs002
@dcs002 3 жыл бұрын
@@kreithdon6863 Yeah, we can't be stupid when deciding whether to invoke this power, especially against a cop who's armed to the teeth and likely to charge you with interfering with an arrest in front of a sympathetic judge (I'm neither crazy nor particularly brave), but if we all did what we could (within reason), I think we could make a serious difference. That attitude of "minding my own business" makes me ill. I remember there was a rape in NYC in the 80s right out in the open in front of apartment buildings where dozens of people lived. The residents heard the victim screaming the whole time. Not one of them even called the police. That's why police started recommending that rape and other assault victims yell "fire!" instead of "help!" That tells the bystanders that they are at risk, so maybe they'll be more likely to act. To me, that's a sick state of affairs (having to appeal to people's self-interest to get help), and it comes from minding our own business. I won't say they were bad people, but they were immersed in a culture of minding their own business - that was the unchallenged norm, and a woman suffered hideously and unnecessarily. That's why I think we need to develop more of an attitude of taking control of what we can, and never ignoring a horror that's going on in front of us. The cop that killed George Floyd was surrounded by other cops who did exactly that, and they have rightly been charged with abetting the murder.

@@sludge8506 He's probably referring to 3 strike policies in states. 28 states have such policies and some are more restrictive than others. For instance, California and Texas have put people into prison for life with the three offenses being for crimes like drug possession and drug sales. If this is something that you're interested in, a simple google search into "three-strike law" will yield more information and proof.
