For me I thought it was unnecessary pressure for my partner to choose the ring. Especially as he admits he isn't design or aesthetics minded. I didn't find it strange to choose my own engagement ring, which we discussed together. I chose a lab grown diamond for ethical reasons.

Women over think everything nowadays, not everyone wants a career. In life you have to just take it easy sometimes and just let things fall into place. The more you overthink and try to take control the more unrealistic it is and the more you will be disappointed. Im someone who grew up in England, but ended up having an arranged marriage from back home and ive never been happier 🙏🏻 i let go of expectations and just let the universe take over. Hes everything i ever dreamt of and moreee! Im able to have a career, have my family and my home just by the trusting the universe and not overthinking.

Totally true, just do what works for you, does it matter if it’s a lab diamond or not, who cares at the end of the day - bigger problems. Lots of people like you say get married via arrange marriage and are perfectly happy for life (and vice versa you can know someone for years and they turn around and cheat…)

Totally agree with your comments… Have faith, go into your heart space, not mind (or ego which is all about ‘I’), meditate daily and know that something that is MUCH bigger than us will guide us. 🙏🏽 We can’t control other people’s reactions or thoughts. Our thoughts and actions generate how others treat us.

I actually agree with this. It's good to do self growth etc but over analyzing just makes it very tough. We can still be doing growth, learn etc and just flow through to make something work. The ring, who cares really. Love is love regardless so I am sure the couple would figure it out. Safety is #1. I'm sure that is what people do look for. And sometimes people do bump at a person at first site and end up being with them and happy.

Degrees and such are a fairly new phenomenon humans are coded to act a certain way.
