Damn what memories watching these shows, been through every county jail in S. Calif. LA, San Diego, Riverside, San Berdo. Been through the loop Orange County more times then I can count. Over a 12 year period I did approx. 7 years, all county. Been sober 25 years Coming June 2023. So much time lost. I feel much empathy for these lost souls. Addiction is a horrible existence

To be honest though, as an addict he knew about that carafentanyl more so than the officer. The officer didn't reach him anything. Also, personally as an opiate addict of ten years who is now clean and sober over two, you chase a high but I honestly never really caught it. Not the first time, not the tenth or 365th time. 🤷 Maybe it was just me. But it only ever made me sleepy once. I never got high, conversely the minute it started to leave my body though... Anguish like you could not believe from head to toe and throughout all mental capability. Cold turkey withdraw is the only way I could have quit. I NEEDED to be in that unlivable Hell for twelve days to know never to go back. Even after the 12 days, I was still sick for at least three months. For the first year I couldn't experience any joy.

@@pandoraaaraseth1040 9 years sober myself and reading your post, was like listening to my own past. literally brings tears to my eyes, just the thought of the pain i went through getting off opiates. it’s a hell on earth, you can’t even begin to fathom unless you’ve experienced it first hand. i had withdrawal symptoms for almost a year after i got sober. & i couldn’t agree more with the, not being able to experience joy for a long time after. that above all, is the one thing that’s made me never want to pick up again.
@pandoraaaraseth1040

@@taylorbrown9925 We have been in one anothers shoes. It's great that someone REALLY gets it. I will never use anything like that recreationally again. The ironic thing about no longer being able to feel joy, ... I genuinely believe I couldn't feel joy when using either. What I experienced was a users high momentarily, and only bc I knew soon would come the numb I needed to exist. Sometimes when the world and everyone around you (including yourself, I take complete responsibility), has taught you to loathe yourself and your every thought bc you are an unworthy soul, numb is the closest you can get to happy by self medicating. At least in my own experiences.

There was a time, not that long ago (1980's/90's) where background checks weren't a thing. You hired people who could do the job and not create issues. Personally, I think it was a much more fair system. People make mistakes and especially cases of "victimless crime" should not have to suffer consequences after paying their dues to society. Technology is not always such a good thing.
@bagitson
@bagitson Жыл бұрын
Businesses need to worry about being sued. If there is a past transgression and it can go to an element of the job, it is negligent to hire that person. Think DUI. You would not hire that person as a delivery driver because of they did it again your business put them in a driving situation knowing their past.
@shotforshot5983
@shotforshot5983 Жыл бұрын
Actually no. Background checks were a thing before WWII. The difference is the speed, ease at which they're done now. Many employers just opt not to, cant afford it. If you go back to wild west days, it was possible to be an outlaw in one state and then be a sherriff in another.
@ralphjuliesaunders4788
@ralphjuliesaunders4788 Жыл бұрын
Yes and no. While it sucks for people who committed crimes and now can’t find a job do you want someone with a drug addiction issue working in your home where priceless things could be stolen? People with a past should absolutely be able to find work, but employers need to be able to trust that their employees aren’t going to steal from them or any clients and will show up on time and do their job. I think there should be a back to work program where people with a record work for the state or city for 3-6 months and be paid a living wage and if they complete the program without issue they get something from the program stating that they have recent work experience without issue and would be a good employee. Any employer that is willing to hire these workers gets a tax break or something to make it worth taking a chance. If they can’t complete the work program then that’s on them to find a solution.

@@ralphjuliesaunders4788 What would you have the magical work program people do? You couldn't even train, educate and evaluate people successfully in that revolving door time frame... they would simply be a liability. Think it through. What do you consider a "victimless crime"?? Traffic tickets? You are only turned down for a bad driving record for driving positions. But even that is rightfully so.

Here's one. Knew a young lady. She had had a drink or two in college before but... She woke up one day in jail with no recollection of what or why! She had went to her granny's house to have tea, a normal occurrence. Granny had just gotten back from visiting other family in Kentucky. She brought back some moonshine... the two having a snort was the last thing she remembered. DUI, failure to yield then a fight with officers. It took around 5 male officers to control her, and she fought, cursed, threatened the entire way. There was such a personality change from the night before (she's an intelligent, sweet, polite, mature girl), the officers showed her the videos. She was mortified at her own behavior! She swore off alcohol for good. It scared her.

I respect our officers and think they do a great job staying level headed for a majority of the time! Day in and day out they risk their lives! One thing that I’m gonna say that will probably not be that popular but I’m just going to put it out there is, the extremely old (probably close to 80 year old) female officer, just walks around and runs her mouth! The only time she will ever say anything is when at least 2 other officers are on an inmate or the person who has been arrested is in a side cell! If anyone ever bowed up on her it would be over! In my personal opinion (please read that former statement again… in my personal opinion) she is nothing more than a liability! Our officers hands are already full enough controlling the regular day to day operations of the jail! They do not need the extra or added responsibility of babysitting supposedly one of their own! God Bless All of Our Officers! If you disagree with me that is completely your opinion and I understand! However, please do not disrespect and cuss me and my ability to have my own opinion! Everyone have a wonderful day!

Right because to my knowledge male cops can't even search us so I can't imagine they can watch us strip. She just stood there looking at him naked thru the door that was weird.

@@chynacash3138 This is yet another piece of evidence to support my theory that this show is 100% staged.

personally it shocks me to see that a man is undressed naked in front of a female officer. It's totally disrespectful. Would we undress a woman in front of a male officer??? What is this country???

The treatment of that flag is why I love America! That respect is for what America used to be and could be again and goes way beyond a color or side. I'm proud of that standard. But also so very sad that it has been demeaned and diminished into nothingness! Thanks to that insipid puppet dancing around his strings! Let's go Brandon! As an almost seventy year old American, I really want to say, well, you all know what that let's go is really about! But I'm a lady, mother and grandmother so I got to watch my mouth! But oh the things I say in my head!

He's delusional and yes he is a puppet but he's not the one controlling things the people behind the scenes are telling him what to say what to do specially his wife that even has to show him where to get off stages. 😂

Every single criminal and drunk has loads of excuses why they're innocent and it's everyone else's fault. They wouldn't be there if they weren't involved in shady situations. If they're not guilty, they should seriously reassess the company they keep. You couldn't pay me enough to deal with these idiots. Much respect to the men and women who do this for a living.
