Also this country is a republic, so this shows how poorly informed you are on the political landscape. A republic protects the minority from being overrun. Hence the electoral college as I said before. If we were a true democracy, the electoral college would be gone, and we'd just use popular vote to decide everything. A democracy is mob rule, and the founding fathers sought to avoid this. The cost of this is constant debates, deadlocks. That is why the executive branch is there for when we need to respond quickly to an emergency, as the constiution was so well planned when it's working as intended. I’ve dipped back in since Biden dropped out and everyone is reporting the same story: Harris has closed the gap and made it a tight race inside a week! Early polling bears this out.
