Cigars Daily is in Arizona, the shop has better quality cigars at 68% humidity. 70 to 72% made the cigar lose pleasant notes/taste. What's your reccomendation for weather in the North Texas area? I'm thinking 68% or 69%. What about temperature? I do think darkness and 70°F is probably right. So a 68/70 rule in the humidor.

For my tupperdors, because no humidity is lost, due to the airtight seal, I find that 65% humidity level Boveda packs work best. Anything higher than this level helps create occasional mold blooms. A wooden humidor can tolerate higher humidity levels, because of the lack of an airtight seal.

Yes! There is no single answer to RH. When I was back home in NYC I kept sticks around 70, se when I was in Memphis. But down in Florida I found it to be too high and caused constant burn issues (I mostly smoke Nicaraguans), so I dropped it to between 62-65 and it's been perfect. I use New Air units and Boveda packs and I've had the same packs in for about a year or more and they're still like new and sits steady at 65 👍

Good advice on not over filling your humidor. I have two humidors, one is reserved for those times when I go crazy and buy too many cigars. If you fill your daily smoke humidor with too many fresh sticks it takes longer for them to acclimate and nothing will smoke quite right for a month or so, even the cigars you have had for sometime. After a month I transfer some to my daily smoke humidor. It’s all trial and error and finding what works best for you!

Most of us dont store our cigars outside, we typically store them in our homes/ a controlled environment. I live in Ga, and keep my cigars in a humidor with an RH of 69%. Using this method, I've yet to have a problem. The only acception to this is when it comes to Cubans. In which case, I keep them in a seperate humidor with an RH at or below 62% . Thanks for the vid sir.
