I guess I cant say us Canadians cant find Tiki. I was at Viva and my first Tiki bar was also Frankie's. I bought 3 mugs and came home and bought a very large velvet painting. I was hooked. Thanks for the tour

We're a little of the beaten path, but if you're ever in Central Texas we'd love to have you come see the Jungle Inn, the tiki bar Goodwill built!

@@BossaNovaLife I'm in Caldwell, about an hour and a half away. We just finished a year long renovation on a brick ranch built in 1980. We went back 100% late 70s to early 80s, with a tiki bar thrown in. I'll give you and Lola the full tour!

It was so great to meet you and Lola both this last weekend! Jim and Mary Ellen are the absolute best and I loved getting to hear about their tiki lodge! I’d love to see a video about what exactly is Tiki! I learn so much from your videos and would be thrilled to learn more!

What is Tiki? Oh my... that is something we are wholly unqualified to answer. We would have to interview about 20 people, at least, who are experts.
@BossaNovaLife Жыл бұрын
I can tell you what Tiki isn't... but even that is fraught with triggers from people who want Tiki to be anything. But no Tiki is not Margarita ville... that is Carribian escape. Tiki is 100% Polynesian.

U guys skipped over the “Trader Sam’s” style window?! Wondering how this was done. Was it a simple tv screen or something more 👍place looks great! So many cool collectibles
@BossaNovaLife3 ай бұрын
@jorgebushington6054 Oh my. Yes was just a TV screen. We have one in our home bar as well. Very common. :) I think the first one I saw was in 2017 in a friend's bar. All you need is a tv and build a bamboo frame.

I grew up hearing that watching TV in the dark would hurt my eyes, for sure. As a gen Xer I don't even feel that old, but maybe I am haha.
