I don't know that one should use the term term "Mid Century" and antique in the same sentence. Its not the same. I don't know why these places don't call themselves vintage malls or thrift stores.. Is is so hard to find real antiques in places that call themselves "Antique malls" now. Which may explain why prices are getting ridiculously high again for real antiques (Pre 1920).

I have my mom's old handheld transitor radio, turquoise with a gold grill. A General Electric "six transistor"(so it says) model. And the coffee container was a carafe. You didn't make coffee in it, you poured coffee from your percolator into it and took it to the table to serve out of because it looked nicer when you had people over for dinner. I have one exactly like it along with twelve others of different styles... Love your channel, especially when you showcase the old travel trailers. 😀

My little transistor radio was avocado green and ivory... AM only. My dad was a ham radio enthusiast, so he thought it was natural that I would want it for Christmas. Five years later he bought me a super-complicated Japanese shortwave. Oh, nice transistor radios came from the factory with leather cases like binoculars did. My grandma had one she said she bought about the time my dad graduated from high school, 1958. One of my cousins now has it.

My mom had a little portable transistor radio when I was a kid in the 80s! It had a little fold down handle the same color and material as the body, which was a pewter silvery gray . Its antenna collapsed and folded down into the top too. It took 3 C cell batteries 😂❤

I loved sweet tarts as a kid. Also the candy apples some of our neighbors made. (We weren't worried about them trying to murder us). Any kind of chocolate bar was greatly appreciated (they didn't have the mini ones then, so they were all full-sized) and some people gave out cans of Coke or Pepsi. In Canada, Smarties are a bigger version of M&M's, so we love those.

1960s Halloween'er here. My favorite was the homemade popcorn balls, followed by the homemade caramel apples. Yep, people would say, come on in -- and then we would have to do a trick to get our treat. We did 2 nights. Halloween night was the local neighborhood. The night before, parents would drop kids off in some faraway neighborhood across town, and we'd have to get home on our own, lol. It took hours -- from dusk to about 9pm. One of the biggest disappointments of my adult life is that no parents let their kids eat homemade popcorn balls or caramel apples that they get from some stranger's house (which would have been my house). Happy Halloween!
