All of God sentient beings matter. No matter how big or how small they are gifts from God. Most humans need to know how to treat them properly.

Didn't have time to watch this, but ended up watching until the end. I found it fascinating. I added the PBS app so I can watch the documentary, A Thousand Bees In My Garden. I'm looking forward to watching that, as well. I'm grateful for your channel.

This is fascinating. I try to buy as much organic produce as possible to hopefully protect as many insects as possible from being sprayed with horrific chemicals. I have recently been reading Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring regarding the dangers of pesticides. It is hard to believe that she sounded the alarm in the 1960s about pesticides yet we continue today to poison or planet with many of the same chemicals that she talked about as well as newer even more dangerous substances. Also, when I’m gardening I try to be careful to not harm insects as much as possible. I know that snails love to eat my hostas as but I’m totally okay with letting them enjoy their favourite snack even it it means that I have hostas that look like vegan Swiss cheese.

I learned so much from this talk, I had no idea that ants had a sense of self-cleanliness (13:45) and a nursing/medic specialization for war casualties (16:16) ⚕ Thank you for sharing this gem 🙏

Wow, super interesting. I'm glad he explained about how the tests were already done and published, so, he feels that we may as well use and share the information obtained. I haven't heard MDs say that, when sharing animal testing results, although they may believe it, and I think that's important to do. I think it is meaningful to always acknowledge the controversy surrounding animal testing, and I've always hoped to hear one of the docs do so, when presenting such info, but never have, until now. ❤

I can personally attest to the fact that rats can indeed be very loving and even make "purring" vibrations when they're in a blissful state

Spiders do NOT have great vision, not sure why he said that!

@@mara3842 perhaps he was talking about a specific spider?

I was just reading about this! Jumping spiders have excellent vision bc they have to locate prey from a few inches away and leap onto it. Wolf spiders are also sight -hunters, I believe. Spiders who eat by feeling vibration on their webs don't need good eyesight. Amazing that they have so many eyes. Nature is incredible! ♥
