Is that consecrated oil that the sister is putting on her head in the painting?

This series has given me insight and historical information I've needed to appreciate the D&C. In the last 40+ years the D&C been my least frequently studied of the standard works. I look forward to the rest of this series. Thank you for your time and effort to make this series available to me and many others.

Thank you for all your videos and for sharing your knowledge and paintings and your encouraging attitude, and your sense of humor. I enjoy learning from you. I will certainly share this episode with my wife. My great grandmother was a midwife with Brigham's company and she spoke/wrote often in her journals about layinng on hands and giving blessings. It is said that when President Kimball was so ill and about to have more surgery, that the apostle giving him ablessing asked Sister Kimball to stand-in. Makes perfect sense to me. Thanks again.

Thanks for mentioning the Brigham and Emma conflict and the unfortunate dissolve of the RS. Please share more details on the dissolve of women giving blessings, which was unfortunate too

Thank you for this presentation on the organization of Relief Society and explanation of the conflict between Emma and Brigham and for your paintings depicting church history. I’ve learned so much from every discussion.

Private opinion here, but look at how much trouble the brethren were to get in line, and then soooo many defectors.
