I can feel how dark and cruel his pains are in this song and the story behind it It’s like the story of a man who lost everything and everyone he loved who fought for him and to come back to the beginning of the story just to realize that he wasn’t always in the right places but it didn’t matter To hear this sunders my heart with pain and despair and the struggle of a bitter ruler who never wanted to rule and so exiled himself from everyone

My buddy called me on our landline one day and said listen to this. It was the intro guitar for this song. He knew i loved Metallica and we both just started playing guitar. He had a little more time than me but i picked stuff up quick. I immediately had my mom drive me to his house where he taught me this song. We always challenged and pushed each other to be better guitarists. He went down a dark path in life with addiction. Je just had a daughter and worked a tough job. He had alot of pressure on him and didnt think he had anyone to talk to. He took his life a few hours after we hung out one day. I didnt see the signs till afterwards of course. Lost my closest friend and the only person i could sit and play with for hours. Im still looking for someone to play with but in his honor ill keep getting better and mever stop playing.
