Three things about this show got to me: 1. The cinematography. I like that it's single cam, the color grading is more film like, nice crushed blacks. Don't see that too much in comedies. 2. The daughter who stands up for her dad saying he deserves a life. Yes. Smart kids are a pluuus. 3. Rob Corddry. "YOU GO BACK TO HER PLACE WE WILL WATCH YOUR KIDS." He's always a really funny actor with really good timing and expressions and I feel like it's going to be a good fit for this show. Good balance of heart and comedy. I'm fucking in.

Another question, when you say sjw, you mean the characters are tolerant to people different than themselves? Maybe they're friends with a gay character? Or a non-white character? Maybe they respect too much to your liking? Is that it? I swear that if I like a show and they say something I don't agree with, I just think 'it's ok, they're not me. We've probably gone through different stuff in life. They don't have to think the way I do'. You should try it. If not with people in real life, at least with tv shows.

Both parties have good and bad , More lately one has been worse than the other. What I mean by SJW Is someone who thinks just because a guy is a white male that means hes a bad person. Like the captain Marvel scene that got released online. The guy Offered her help but he had a little bit of a creep factor. he told her to smile. Her response Burn his hand, squeeze his hand, threaten him that he will lose his hand, rob him of his helmet his jacket and his motorcycle and then steal clothes from a clothing store. The people that cheer that kind of exteme reactionary behavior. Theres a difference between believing in equality & social Justice and being a social Justice Warrior. SJW doing the exact same actions that they're condemning someone else to do and putting down that opposing sex or race to do it. I have gay friends. I don't care if someone in a TV show is gay Or they have a non white friends. I have a problem when they Change a character from the original story to now be gay to fit a mold & demo. Or they have Messages that downplay a man to say a woman is better instead of having it be that she's great because of her actions. I don't have a problem if it's about respect I have a problem with Stories that make It a point to break the story to tell a political thing even if it doesn't make sense. A person is more than just their sexuality yet a lot of shows makes a character's Arc Iabout them being gay then treat it as if that's the only thing about them. their life. I have gay friends I have straight friends they don't sit there most of the time talking about being straight or gay. they talk about other things in life it's not their main personality trait. The people that throw around buzzwords that's what I mean by SJW. There's a difference between Ellen Ripley whose an amazing strong female lead And a character like captain Marvel who just comes off entitled because she's a woman. If I watch a show about superheroes politics can come up to a point but the show shouldn't be focused around politics when that's not the basis of the character. when it's about superheroes it needs to be about them being a hero. Not telling me the president is bad. If I watch a show about a person dealing with their family and their family life I don't need to keep seeing them then tell me about how the president or certain party sucks or is awesome every episode. you make episodes about it of course but there's other things that are going on in life. I never said they had to think the way I do so that's not something I need to try with they need to do is be better writers and learn how to tell a story about their actual story. Unless the show is specifically about politics. The thing is I can accept something going on but I don't need a shaving commercial preaching to me about what life is about your there to sell me raisers. I don't need every television show trying to tell me who I should vote for or what I should be doing and why I shouldn't be liking this thing when the show is about a murder mystery or something like that. But I never said that they had to think the way I think because you're assuming I'm not an open person. That's not the case I never said they had to think like me what I'm talking about is a show needs to stop trying to tell me to hate a party or to accept a one dimensional character because they're trying to fit a demographic. Seems like you might wanna pay closer attention to the shows and actually see how many times TV shows really do that period especially in the last few years movies do it to

I'll say progressive, but not in a policies-related manner, of course. More in a trying to give women other roles that may be seen as inspiring to some or 'better than' to others manner. Btw, I don't watch any of the shows you mention, so I don't know their message. I saw the Batwoman trailer and I didn't like it, especially because of Ruby. I mean, she's hot, but not a very good actress. The thing with Captain Marvel is that Brie is so weird and extra that comes off as somewhat uncharismatic or even unlikeable. And the thing that the guy said is very annoying. For example, I work in customer service, so when I'm with a client or with my co-workers I'm smiling 90% of the time, but if my boss happens to pass by and sees me not smiling when I'm on my own he tells me that 'you should smile more', like dude, I smile most of the day, but I can't be smiling the full 8 hr shift. It's kind of annoying. Now, we can see that we have 2 very different perspectives. You see it as a _white_ guy making a comment and her over exaggerating (which of course she did, duh!, I just roll my eyes), but I saw it as a guy telling a girl how to behave. Does that make me a sjw? I don't think so, at least I don't consider myself one, but you can think otherwise. I still think that neither shows nor movies hate on a party in particular. They may lean to the left on social issues and that's pretty much it. Well, they rub them on your face and that's it. And to be honest, what I said that I do is what I actually do. There's this case with CAOS, which I ADORE, where some of the things played out too progressive to be real. I said you should try it, but let me clarify: if that happens to you. If it doesn't, then don't. I'll try to follow your advise and open more my eyes to this. PS. You might like Pop Culture detective. I particularly like his 'Military Recruitment and Hollywood' video. But every single one is awesome.
