The Unifics were our "big brother" group back in the days when I chased the musical stage. We modeled our group after their style...even did their steps. At the club "Cheetah" in NY we did a show with the Unifics, and copied a cover song they did by Curtis Mayfield called "Choice of Colors". After we finished our set, Al (who watched our show from the audience and back stage) was the first to come over to our dressing room to say 'well done'. The brother had CLASS. On that same bill were The Honeycombs, The 5 Stairsteps, Kool and the Gang, The Persuasions, and to close the show on the last night, none other than Mr Dynamite himself...James Brown!!!...who threw our clothes and instruments out of our dressing room as he commandeered it. LOL!!! MAN...this vid brings back SWEET memories of the days when yo ass had to KNOW how to sing and dance at that mike. Thanks for posting. And Al (the lead singer) wasn't "blind". He had a type of astigmatism.

Eddie Jones seriously? To even try to compare these guys to the temptations is not fair to the unifics. I LOVE this one song by the unifics but off the top of your head can you name another. .I can't. .this x was their only hit and too be honest their choreography left a little to be desired . There were many groups from the 60s and 70s that could possibly give the Temps a run get for their money. .dramatics..spinners..4 tops..etc ..but not the unifics. .but I still love this song
