Great review as always Sarkis! Where can I get that base that screws in? Mine didn’t come with a base, only the base adapter.

Good question, Union sells them to vendors either complete or stem only. If the vendor chooses to purchase stem only then they wouldn’t be able to sell a complete set as intended. Union also has different trim offerings including one with Crystal base. As to where you’d find one, you’d have to shop around or maybe even contact Union directly via their IG - they’re super easy to talk to

Do you think Union have used a more restricted draw on purpose so the consumer has a second option in relation to draw preference for users that prefer something more restricted?

You can actually remove the resin sleeves from the purge ports. If screwed tightly enough into the heart, you can unscrew the top and the sleeve comes off. That said, I've not had issues with it fitted in - the material on the accents are far superior to the sleek, and can be washed as is with no deterioration issues.

Yes, it looks that way, but when the pliers started eating into the threads I had to make a decision. I believe others will experience similar so I chose to be transparent with everyone. It still doesn’t change the fact that this is 3/3 pipes from our friends at Union where it’s either difficult to remove the purge balls or outright impossible such as with the Argument

Great review overall. One point though:The purge balls can easily be accessed, you just need to unscrew it. Not sure why you consider this an issue?

As I’ve mentioned in previous comments, and addressed in the description of the video, I am aware they can be unscrewed however mine have never let loose even when using pliers. I stopped trying when the threads started getting damaged. The message was more in regards to the issue of difficult to access purge balls in not only the Fibonacci but in all of Unions models including Sleek and Argument. @@SarkisAlexander Thanks I may have missed that. I really like the comparative reviews, and this is often missed in other reviews, e.g. it has an "open draw" is pretty subjective, but X has more restricted draw than Y gives you sort of an objective comparison which for me as the viewer is a lot of informative. On the draw compared to the Union Sleek, on the Union website, the inner diameter of the sleek is 1mm more (11 vs 10mm on the Fibonacci). How noticeable is the difference in draw? Cheers,

@@Cindoray you know, it’s quite astonishing for me as well. Visually there shouldn’t be as much of a difference as there is. The ports aren’t small but the result in actuality is it’s quite a noticeable difference in draw-feel compared to the Sleek. Where the Sleek draws attention due to its “open yet crisp” draw, the Fibonacci draws attention to its aesthetics and amazing precision build quality. I’m not one to let something subjective as preference of draw effect how much I enjoy a given pipe, instead I’ve come to a point where I tend to appreciate everything for what it is. But in a review I believe people should be aware of what they’re getting

@@SarkisAlexander My guess is that it actually comes down to the hose port adaptor which looks to be the tightest part, the port is visibly narrower than the down-stem. You can easily see that by overlaying the tray and port adaptor. That being said, I don't have a sleek to compare this with.
