When the Centauri first encountered humanity in the Babylon 5 universe they would have met ships that were technologically on par with what we see in the Expanse. It was the Centauri that shared Jump Gate technology with humans which allowed humanity to finally escape the Sol System. In the Expanse humanity doesn't develop their own Faster-Than-Light travel until 1000 years after the destruction of the ring gate system.

​@@UtopianBroadcast1​Often when I'm writing, I have to remove a lot of simple details (that I go into great detail on) in order to prevent the final product from being excessively length. I encounter a similar issue when recording videos but have been making a conscious effort to rein it in (hence the delay on the two videos that I hope to upload by Wednesday).

The most impresive thing about Zenobia is not the armaments, but the fact that it uses armor developed from protomolecule research. As shown in Season 6, it can easilly stop any railgun slug.

Thanks, that video is great, but there is a little Mistake at the beginning, you said that the Torpedos are also callers Misses, but they are two different weapon systems. Torpedos are mostly unguided and misses are guided. I think in that universe they are both guided, but in the first battle, they switch between both systems. I hope I could help you. Nathan Hale class is not even a combatant. Their uniforms carry hull classification abbreviation LCC (Command ship), and Zenobia is LCC 20, meaning 20th LCC overall built by the UNN since its formation about 200yrs ago (very low number makes sense, cause navies usually commission 1 or 2 of those at the time i.e. that is the operational number) It is armed with 16 PDCs, and since in the Expanse, military non-combatants carry a limited strike capabilities, also with 6 standard/small missile launchers and two light railguns.

in product of the UCN capital's/UCN colonies' UCA (mostly. there is their Space version of Real Life Terran era NATO level, the UCN's ISA branches) though.... the UEG era Humankind's UNSC(/pre-/during Human-ecumene forerunner war era/pre-UEG/CAA era Humankind's (undefined....much, named) military).... IMC era Humankind's IMC armed services.... UNSA era Humankind's SATO.... UEE era Humankind's military.... GAOT/DAOT era/pre-IOM era Humankind's (undefined named) military.... even those like GAH era Humankind's military.... etc.... (bonus: the Amiable ecumene races' ecumene Status army.... even those (Calus era) Cabal empire races' meritocratic military.... (citadel member/)AS era Humankind's SA military....).

One more reason why MCRN is more advanced - all of the pioneers that colonised Mars were the best of Earth's talents. The culture they have formed there is very technocratic. Rapid development of their navy was a foregone conclusion
