well eversince borg is all about nanoprobes and replicators are made from nanites (directly those created by Ancients/Lanteans and indirectly those created by Reese), possesing it´s own agressive programming which would assault borg nanoprobes directly on their level, rendering the borg effectively powerless!! Plus ability to consume rapidly raw materials and replicate would quickly cripple the whole borg vessel. Not to mention that replicators have a hive mind of it´s own without the need of extra linking hardware as borg do with their central plexus and vinculum so it would be easy for replicators to invade borg hive mind and wreak a havoc!! They would effectively eat the collective from inside out.. the only possible solution to this would be remote self destruct but it would not necessarilly mean the total destruction of the replicators as there always remained at least one alive, who would start the cycle anew.. more surreptitiously and ultimately successfully..

I Don think the Narn are one of the newest of the Young races but one of the oldest and suffered a huge loss having sided with the shadow in the same war as the Minbari. I believe the vorlon seeded telepaths in all the races which made the shadows turn to other race to protect there living ships. Because of the Book of GQuan i think GQuan was a one of 2 things first an aerospace engineer that helped the shadows or more likely leader of the telepaths of Narn and they shielded the minds of the ship. Once GQuan was the shadow were doing what they do to the people in the ships he betrayed them. They blasted Narn back to the stone age and over the generations telepath died out of the race because the Narn feared the shadows return

All the Borg have to do is assimilate one member of the Shadow race to understand and adapt to their technology. So the Shadows probably lose after a long drawn out war.

To be fair, shadows and Vorlons actualy helped younger races evolve, the Ori, at least during SG1 time did not help the races reach ascension, just promised to help and enslaved the naive races. So the Shadows might be disgusted by them. You can hate them, but both Shadows and the Vorlons deeply loved the younger races and wanted them to evolve. They would have never kept beeings from evolving, or promised them great power without actualy wanting to help them raise. The shadows might fight these false teachers toogether with the Vorlons, putting conflict away for a moment, like 2 fighting parents that work toogether to safe very stupid children that got seduced by kidnappers. They would focus on finding the Oris main base and went without mercy against them. after freeing the people both sides would start to be seen as liberators and try to provide new teachings to replace the Ori.

To be fair, the shadows would hate the borg, the borg are all about order, no freedom, just controlle. The Vorlons would also not like them, the Borg philosophy is like a perversion of the Vorlon philosophy, both belief in harmony, but the Vorlons seek to do that with unity in a spiritual way with the great force and the higher dimensional consciousnes, the way the Borg seem to try to replace "God" with a computer would insult the highly spiritual Vorlons. Or maybe not. I wonder how the Vorlons view the Borg. Both love order. Both use merging of technology and mind.

The Destiny is specialised for exploration, its not a standardised mass produced class but highly customised prototype, and given that it compeeted for resources with the stargate project (Source Stargate unverse comics) of the ancients. So it was build "high performance" with aviable to the ancients technology at the time and i think much more expencive then warships build later. My point of comparison is between the latest missile cruilser and a ww2 battleship, in under 10 kilometers the modern cruiser is going to have it worse then the battleship.

I don´t think they are that big. A lot of sci-i shows have ships of simmilar size or even bigger. Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Andromeda., Red Dwarf The Lexx for example is 10 Kilometers long. Sure other sci-fi shows like Cleopatra 2525, Zathura, UFO and Raumpatrouille Orion do not have ships of that size
