ADDITIONAL NOTES: 1- You can use Shortbow instead of Axe if you want a more ranged option, or simply prefer the Shortbow. In that case you will use the same sigils on Dagger / Torch. And for the more damage changes in group content, in Wilderness Survival, choose the middle Grandmaster trait “Light On Your Feet” 2- You must have Secrets Of The Obscure expansion to use Dagger on Druid. If you don’t then just use Axe / Torch, and the second weapon will be Shortbow, and you will put Sigil of Malice and Earth on it.

My Ranger was the very first profession I created but it soon got neglected while I explored other profession options. I've just rerolled my Ranger as I wanted a different race! 10:05 I'm pretty sure they changed it, now everything that has a defiance bar, even a locked one, counts as always flanking. It's in the description of all flanking traits too.

Correct, but what counts as defiant is very inconsistent in Strikes & Fractals, so just taking a couple of steps to the side is a more guaranteed way of getting the benefit

I have tried it, and it does indeed apply a very decent amount of damage. I just couldn't get a build going that lives up to my standards while using Maces, but I'll try again in the future

Yes, that will ok. You'll gain more sustain and do less damage overall, but it shouldn't be too much

If you use Warhorn instead of Torch, you will gain overall more sustain but do less damage. However, your main source of damage is from Celestial Avatar, so you SHOULD be ok overall. As for ranged weapons, I'd suggest Shortbow. Check my pinned comment

There are 2 reasons for that: 1- The build relies more on condition damage, and Mace is not the best for that. 2- I am 90% sure the build was made before Mace was even released for Rangers

22k on the golem is more than enough for open world. Most janthir champions will be a pain if you don’t have boon strip and condition cleanse but that’s true for everyone

I'm confused. I've been reading up on druid, astral force and Celestial Avatar to prep for playing a druid. Wiki says that astral force is not generated by condition dmg. So I'm wondering why condi druid is the thing instead of a power centered build.

Let me explain each one of those problems on their own. 1- For Astral Force, you have the Grandmaster Minor trait "Natural Mender" generating Astral Force all the time by default. You're also constantly taking damage and healing yourself and your pet all the time. So just from those 2 things, you will find yourself generating enough Astral Force to go Celestial Avatar very often. 2- Damage contributes very little to your Astral Force regeneration, whether it's power or not. You can actually test that yourself easily. Go to the Aerodrome and use any kind of power gear you have on the golem, and pay attention to how fast you'll generate your Astral Force, then change to Condition damage and do the same thing. You will notice that power will generate Astral Force faster by only like 5% or so, so basically not worth going full power just for that. On top of that, the main trait that enables Druid to do high damage so that it can be used for solo stuff or group content as offensive option, is the Grandmaster Druid trait "Eclipse", and that trait is all about condition damage, especially burning. So overall it's better to go condition for DPS Druid than Power.

@@GamingTutorialswithJohny Okay, I figured out where my thinking went sideways. I had assumed that astral force accumulated by the AMOUNT of dmg or heals. Instead it's simply by the number of dmg or heal acts. So anything that pulses strikes or heals fives AF and right now I'm strugging to think of any condi dmg skill that doesn't also do strike dmg. So thanks for being patient with me and letting me ask a noob question. Good answer!

I highly recommend Spider because of its skills. It's also very easy to get. But if you still don't want it, you can choose any other pet that applies some conditions, like "Bristleback"
