It sounds way better balanced and each instrument has its own space after the Channel EQ processing 🔥

Your video has encouraged me to continue using Channel EQ. Less is more, that's for sure.

That's the power of good mixing practices my friend, not the eq. Thanks for video

Exactly ! That's the point behind this video : to show the "power" you can get from any tools if you know how to use it properly with the good basic practices

Be aware though that when using envelope folower for sidechining, it has considerabale amount of lag that may make your transients overlap

I haven't noticed this kind of problem so far, but I'll keep an eye on that

Trop peu utilisé en effet. C'est très bien de l'utiliser sur des pistes individuelles également. L'EQ 8 reste mon favori néanmoins

J'utilise toujours EQ 8 aussi, ils sont complémentaires

Very nice and may seem useful if you want to use a stock Ableton Live eq plugin but there are many much more effective ones out there with many more functions and parameters (some even free). The question arises spontaneously for this type of EQ... Is it a linear phase plugin? It seems to me that the EQs in Ableton Live are not linear phases and this can cause phase changes when making frequency cuts and is not a good or appropriate thing in technical terms in the production process.

Linear phase EQ is not better than regular EQ, it's a different option for specific purposes. Keep in mind that most of the music you listened in your life was made and mixed before linear phase EQ even exist... You can check this nice and short video about linear phase myth : kzbin.info/www/bejne/npq7dJlugtZ7prc

@@DaFresh I have used classic EQs for many years and I'm not saying they can't be used but if today's technology allows us to improve even small technical details why not do it? I have done various tests with plugins that measure phase and counter-phase and I can confirm that classic EQs change the initial phase of the sound when frequency cuts are made. Many small things are not perceptible to the human ear but in the long run, they can disturb the final mixdown.
