Poland is not the biggest polluter in EU. Look at Eurostat. Poland is not even in the top 5. Rich West is still using coal in huge quantities but they still blame smaller and poorer countries of the East for all the pollution. Poles will use coal for the next few decades because is is the cheapest. Most people in Poland and other eastern european countries earn very little. These people cannot afford expensive renewable energy. If you like or not.

I needed this story today. German activists could learn a thing or two from their Polish counterparts about winning people for your cause
@Rudelherz6 ай бұрын
Yes, also Germans in general should learn from their Polish neighbors.

Poland does not have to give up coal for another hundred years! It is enough to build large heating plants from which the heat is distributed as district heating around the cities! Those new thermal power plants use flue gas cleaning systems that remove sulfur from the smoke, in the desulfurization plant, and all the ash, which is called fly ash in those power plants! Nitrogen can also be removed from the flue gases, in nitrogen cleaning plants that are used in all, for example, Finnish coal-fired power plants, and the chimneys of the plants can be up to 150 meters high, meaning that even the last harmful smoke flies far and wide and the air is completely clean in those cities where the latest technology is used, such as in Finland!

4:44 The issue is that neither the Polish, nor the Hungarian government does 'discussions' In reality, behind closed doors, its their way or the highway. Everything else is irrelevant.
