over the years, we've seen countless mario kart tracks get remade for newer generations to experience. yet out of all the tracks in mario kart, one sticks out like a sore thumb - toad's factory.
no matter what, this track can't seem to catch a break. it has YET to be remade, it didn't get into the BCP or Tour, and on top of that, it had nearly everything in its favor. it's so sad, yet surprising that a track as loved and iconic as toad's factory has yet to get its big break. but why exactly is this the case? why has it been neglected for so long, and forgotten by the developers? and most importantly, how has it managed to become the UNLUCKIEST track in mario kart history? those are the questions of today's video.

The reason toads factory didn't come back was because it had a dark history of treating their workers horribly, workers at toad factory had to work 12 hours a day with only a 2 minute bathroom break and a 5 minute lunch break.The worst part is the toads only get paided the minimum wage in the mushroom while the toad who runs the factory get 11000000 billion coins a year. beacuse toads factory made nintendo the item boxes, Nintendo didnt want to shed light on toads factory, as it might expose toad and get the factory shut down, causing nintendo to have no item box supplier.Its so sad that toad treated his employees so badly, i wish i could have play on it😢

Toad's Factory is my 3rd favourite course in the entire series after Maple Treeway and Coconut Mall (I have a bias for Wii), and the best piece of music ever, and for it to be one of the very few courses to have never returned makes me sad. High hopes for Mario Kart 9!

I personally think because it's to save better tracks for future games so you can get more excited about them when they come out, especially with booster course tracks.

Wario Stadium is the unluckiest track. Every single track from N64 has been remade at least once expect for Wario Stadium.

i get your point, but at least it *sort of* came back in the form of DS Wario Stadium. that track is probably the sole reason why they haven’t remade N64 WS.

sometimes i hate having to wait for two reasons; one is because nintendo might not add it in and all that anticipation was for nothing and second is because they might add it in but you have to wait for the release fo thre game@@roboverse6234

Toad’s Factory has always been my favourite track, I remember I was around 5 when I first played it with my parents who had had the wii and Mario kart for a long time and they chose it as the first track. It was a great introduction to mariokart and I just loved the music, the moving parts and the fast speed of the track. I was sad it didn’t make it into MK8 Deluxe but it might actually be good because now it’s extremely likely to be in MK9 where it will be there for a whole game, not just a year like if it were in the booster pass!

The one reason im actually kinda happy it wasnt in the booster coarse pass even tho its literally my favourite track from the first mario kart game i played is because i think if it didnt come back here then i think its pretty likely itll be in the next mario kart game

one of my favourite parts about the track is the music. it fits so well with the track, as well as incorporating factory noises as an INSTRUMENT. how cool is that? gears and cranks... as an INSTRUMENT! ISN'T THAT CRAZY????????????????

Toad's Factory was never eligible for the BCP, due to its absence in Tour.

The real reason why it never came back is because it wasn't in Tour, since all the BCP is, is just Tour ports. It's sad putting it alongside the actual DLC MK8 got during the Wii U where it was all made from the ground-up.

What about other unlucky tracks like GBA Luigi Circuit since Sunset Wilds was added even though they’re aware they couldn’t add the sunset and Luigi didn’t get his own track in MK8 or the Bowser Castle tracks?

here’s my take: airship fortress, yes, did get unlucky, but considering that it was at least remade for MK7 and Tour, it fares slightly better. GBA Luigi Circuit isn’t that iconic compared to DS Luigi’s Mansion. if anything, the latter is track luigi should’ve gotten in deluxe. as for sunset wilds, while it does suck that the sunset is gone, still isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. but i respect your opinion, i can see why those tracks also deserve recognition

I think the way to figure out why is to ask Miyamoto. I've noticed there's a bit of a trend with Nintendo in general - if Miyamoto likes something then it'll probably get made, whereas if he doesn't, it probably won't. And Miyamoto is known for having some questionable tastes and shit takes when it comes to games. Seriously, he thought Pikmin 4 was going to be the next big thing on the Switch and was completely shocked when it only sold half-decently.

The Virigan Toad Circuit vs the Chad Toad’s Factory. I was very ticked at first that Nintendo brought back so many generic tracks over Toad’s Factory, but now I kinda understand why, I think they want to save it for a retro selection in MK9, and it makes sense. Before the BCP Nintendo already returned 3 Wii Tracks, those being Moo Moo Meadows, Grumble Volcano, and Wario’s Gold Mine, which aren’t bad picks (I’m personally not a fan of WGM but it’s a good idea for it to return) saving probably 3 Wii Tracks to return for MK9 those probably being Dry Dry Ruins, Toad’s Factory and Wii Bowser’s Castle. If they return Toad’s Factory in MK9 it proves it was a good idea to ignore it for so long before having it return, I just hope they make that decision.

@@timonobel615 obligation does not equal favouritism. The bcp didn’t have a choice in bringing back all the tour tracks because they would be lost once the games servers go offline. Wiis tracks are always playable

My favorite track of all time, i always love to come back to mkwii just to play on it. I'm so sad they chose koopa cape instead of it ! But let's see the good point, if it comes back in a new mk game, it will look better than the bcp courses

Well if MK9 is gonna have 48 tracks, then we will have just enough retros that haven’t been remade yet to fill out the track selection. It’s inevitable.

I thinks it's only because all the dlc map are from Mario kart tour and Nintendo want to save the data and it's why the dlc is trash because it's just mario kart tour map with no other work adapted to mobile and not for console

Nah the Unluckiest Mario kart Track is definitely N64 Wario Stadium it hasn’t been remade and hasn’t appeared since Mario Kart 64 so Toads Factory is probably the 2nd Most unlucky track

Well... I have a problem with your video. You didn't answer questions. Why couldn't they just replace a Wii track that doesn't have an excuse like Daisy Circuit or Moonview Highway? You only talk about why Toad's Factory isn't in the BCP, but how about base 8? Like, the number of tracks in the entries that base 8 used is very, VERY UNBALANCED. We have 4 N64 tracks (leaving Wario Stadium as the only N64 track), 3 DS tracks, 2 Wii (which is upset for the Wii fans), 1 GBA track, and three 3DS tracks in base 8. Why can't Toad's Factory be in base 8 and replace Royal Raceway? Imagine if base 8 has 4 Wii track, and the BCP has 5 instead of 8. Have you wondered why the BCP has tracks, like Toad Circuit or I guess Snow Land (not bad in 8DX, but still)? Toadette should get a track of her own. Tho At least you update your title in the video since there's tracks that are even more unlikely. Here's a list of the ACTUAL most unlikely tracks in every mainline entries (including Tour even though I believe the next title will use 9). ● SNES - Mario Circuit 4 🏎 - It's Mario Circuit 3 R ● N64 - Wario Stadium 🏟 - No, the DS one doesn't count since they're different. ● GBA - Lakeside and Broken Pier - I know Lakeside got a remake, but the remake is MID. ● GCN - Bowser's Castle 🔥 ● DS - Figure-8 Circuit - I included it because it was a lost potential for Mario Kart 8. ● Wii - Bowser's Castle 🔥 ● 3DS - Shy Guy Bazaar - It was planned to be in the Wii U DLC, but it was scrapped. ● Wii U - The Crossover tracks. ● Tour - The RMX tracks and Piranha Plant Pipeline 🪴 ● SW/Tour Nitro - All Also, Luigi's Mansion and Airship Fortress aren't coming to the next game. Mansion and Fortress have already remade in 7, and their remakes are too recent.

you are correct that more tour tracks were added, but that’s mostly because tour won’t last forever and nintendo wanted to port all of its exclusive content (except for pipeline)
