The Unofficial Pwllheli Carnival 2007!

As one of the divvies was getting married we decided to give him a stag do with a difference and to celebrate his love of fancy dress we brought back the Pwllheli Carnival on the last and busiest bank holiday of the summer complete with a queen, fancy dress, a float and one of Pwllheli's most popular characters! why don't they have the proper pwllheli carnival anymore ? i used to go with my parents when i was little . we would come up from leicester in the midlands and stay with my nain and taid in morfa nefyn , in the summer hols . people would line the streets to see the carnival floats and bands . i seem to remember the place was rammed on carnival day . we always stood outside the row of shops near the mitre pub . and watched as it went by . mind i'm going back over 40 years and times change
