The Unproduced MEGO 4" Monster Toyline!

In 2022 #Mego toys flirted with the idea of a highly articulated line of 4 inch #monster action figures. Prototypes of the first wave of 3 were made, they were shown to potential retailers, and ultimately were unproduced and lost - unit now! With permission from MEGO I present the 3 wave 1 monster prototypes!

These figures are great! And this would be a great line to include diorama sets like a tomb or castle for the vampire, a swamp for the creature, and a forest for the werewolf.

Mego really needs to diversify and 4 inch articulated & 3 3/4 inch retro figures are all the rage right now. These would sell like hotcakes. Mego seemed to have stalled a bit since their return in 2018. They were pumping out figures like hotcakes 3 years ago. They need a new direction and hoepfully you have some influence or pull with them.

I was REALLY hoping Mego would get back into 4" action figures again. I love monsters and would have LOVED to have owned these. Thank you for sharing these. "box of heads" Not something you hear every day...😆

You definitely earned a subscriber here! These are absolutely awesome! I have really really REALLY REALLY WANTED a 4" line of action figures that have the articulation that your figures had. These figures look great! Not many people have the space or room to be able to display all of their 6" action figures. Not to mention their vehicles or ships. Take Star Wars for example. The Tie Fighter for example, it was HUGE as well as expensive. The 4" lines helps this. Yet nobody has decided to make them. Hasbro and McFarlane has made some, but they are all 5 POA. If they aren't making these they are maxing a HUGE MISTAKE! These figures would fly off of the shelves. I sincerely hope that they decide to make these. I grew up in the 70's. The classic "Monsters", Count Dracula, Frankenstein, the Wolfman, and the Creature From the Black Lagoon were all favorites of mine. I remember watching Saturday night at the 😱 😱 😱 😱 😱 with my Mom. So many great memories. 👍 I miss them.

Thank you! I have a lot more content coming down the pipeline. The 4" landscape is interesting because it is fairly neglected, due to the fact that when manufacturing, it isn't THAT much more to make a 6" or 7" figure, than it is to do a 4" - But you can charge 2x-3x more for the larger figure, so the profit is higher.

Amazing detail for the scale of figure. Articulation is through the roof. Creature From The Black Lagoon is one of my favorites. Really like this version of it

I was pretty bummed when they didnt happen. I mean so is the life of a toymaker, I have had a ton of things cancelled, but I would have really liked to have seen these on shelves.
