I remember first hearing about this show from RebelTaxi's video about lost pilots and always wondered if the second episode would resurface, so glad it finally has!

I remember this when I was young. It's been over 20 years and I can still remember the name of the show. I wanted it to win so badly. So so badly. I liked the art style of it. It actually inspired me for a short time to want to be an artist but it didn't pay the bills. Please tell the creator of kitty Bobo that it is not forgotten. It's been awhile since I've seen the pilot and I'm going to enjoy watching it again even if the story may seem kind of shallow about a guy and his phone.

I remember watching and voting for it when it aired. I was SO mad when KND won. I never watched knd because of that reason. Still to this day, when someone is being a show off, me and my mom will say "slow down, kitty bobo!"

As a teenager, I will say that if 'A Kitty Bobo Show' would be produced, I'll watch the Cartoon Network again. I dunno why I liked this pilot so much, but there is something about Bobo that speaks out to me, hehe. Edit: sorry for the late response

Its an absolute shame this show didn't get a chance. It could have filled that space between daytime and nighttime entertainment. Like Regular Show eventually ended up doing.

As much as I like the style of the show, this 2nd episode just confirms my doubts about the pilot. If Kitty Bobo is just about a clueless asshole where the situation revolves around pretending to be rich and always ends up working out in the end, it doesn't make for a very likeable character or a lot of variety. There's obviously still cool ideas in there, like monkey having his own culture and Bobo's dad wanting him to move out even though he's not ready, but it would probably work better as an adult cartoon and more fleshed out story.

The pilot makes me believe that Kitty Bobo just wants to be cool and better than Graffiti. I feel like the show doesn't particularly want to make you think that Kitty Bobo himself is cool, as I was most interested by the atmosphere, the setting, the other characters, etc. So, I dunno tbh. His friend group kinda doesn't like him, Maggie finds him annoying, Paul got hit while trying to impress Graffiti and Bobo scratches Monkey Carl's records. It seems like perhaps Kitty Bobo is just trying and failing to fit in with the world around him, and I wonder if this show ever got more developed, perhaps Kitty Bobo would actually learn to adapt with the world around him, or would the show just detail his misadventures.

Yeah I can see why the series came in second place. The problem is already there since the pilot episode. The series could be very interesting to watch and hearing what was going on in the second episode, I think it could have made a good series, but the problem is already there where kitty basically acts very much like everything is centered around him, and it could get very tiring overtime, possibly to the point where it makes the series unwatchable if we are going to be following a character that is already an asshole and only thinks about himself. What could save the series though is if over the course of the series, kitty Bobo does go through character development where he goes from this cat who is very obnoxious and self centered to being a cat that thinks about others and isn't the obnoxious and selfish cat he once was

@Segab What your saying is a bit false, since in the first episode Kitty Bobo lost when he accidentally destroyed his cellphone making him the only one in his friend group without one. So i think the show would've flipped between karma biting back at him for his bad behavior and things going to his favor somehow. But I do think that A kitty bobo show would've been better as an adult swim show. Like it feels like a mix between Bojack Horseman and the boondocks, where u have an unlikable protagonist thats a jerk combined with episodes that have the characters interact with exaggerated versions of real events and stuff. Like this second pilot heavily reminds me of boondocks episodes like the pimp my ride one, The story of thugnificent, and the fried chicken flu. And mind u, both these shows came way after a kitty bobo show, so if it got greenlit as an adult show then it could've thrived since it would've had little competition

@@jonahabenhaim1223 It isn't a bad show, and i respect the people's opinions on it, but honestly, when i was a child i would prefer to watch other cartoons instead, shows like Dragon Ball, Ed Edd and Eddy, Samurai Jack (i loved the fight scenes, so darn epic), Powerpuff girls, Pokemon, in terms of 90's cartoons (even if i'm a 2007 guy, i always preferred shows from that period of time over the more simplistic cartoons that were considered ''new'' in the 2010's (excepting for some) Yet now i like everything from the 2010's for some reason

Interesting. :) A Kitty Bobo Show could have been a great idea for a show. It's got the Regular Show vibe and resonates well with older auidences. I wonder if Megan can have the storyboard scanned? I know that it may take a lot of computer storage and DPI levels can be high, but it would be nice to see them in a more cleaner and crisp quality. I hope they're not to big and fragile for scanning.

Taking a very close look at the pilot, it looks like it actually was animated with traditional cel animation. It's really hard to see due to compression, but there's some dust/hair in some shots.

Robot Jones was the final CN show to use cels for its entire run, while Ed Edd n Eddy's "Take This Ed and Shove It" was the final major western animation production to use them.

The only criticism I'd have for the pilot is that Bobo had no chemistry with Maggie, if this show ever made it into full production then I could see it developing the characters beyond the superficial charades that they get involved with. But we'll never get to see that unfortunately.
