Fun fact, Wang Yibo was in a kpop group called Uniq! He's an amazing dancer and a good rapper and singer. He also races motorcycles and is SUPER competitive with it. I loved watching the Behind the scenes vids of this show, Wang Yibo ans Xiao Zhan were too funny together! Chinese pronuncuation is a bit tricky so it's understandable if you're not getting it right. I only know very little and some things are confusing af to me. I asked a one of my Chinese gaming friends what the difference qas between "s" "q" and "x" since the all sound like s sounds to me and his response was "it's complicated but there is a difference, I'd have to get in voice chat to explain that one" lol. He had to go study for some exams though so I still don't know the answer. The only names I am confident in saying are Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan.

To help you with pronunciation, 'Zh' is a 'j' sound, 'jump' 'X' is to put it simply a 'sh' sound When you were saying Wang Yibo's name you were pronouncing it like 'Yiboo' but it is pronounced 'Yee-boh', the 'bo' sound like the English word 'bow. Mandarin is a very complex language in comparison to English and I am by no means fluent at all, just pronunciation for names. If I've given any incorrect information then please feel free to correct me. Also a thing to remember is they have honorifics like they do in Korean so it would be a good idea to keep that in mind when watching the show.

@@JOSEPHREACTS I just watched your reaction to episode 1 on patreon. I enjoyed it a lot. Some other things I noticed was that the names are in the same order of 'last name first name' like Korean names. So 'Wei Ying', 'Wei' is the last name & 'Ying' is the first name but you say them together as that is how you'll here the characters say name. Also, 'Wei' is pronounced 'way'. Also, every character has two or more names. Their birth names and their courtesy name. A courtesy name is one that strangers, acquaintances etc call you and your birth name is for family, significant other and close friends. So for example, Wei Ying is his birth name and Wei Wuxian is his courtesy name. To call someone by their birth name if you aren't close and haven't asked permission is considered rude. These are the two names every character has, a birth and courtesy name. Then you have characters who have accomplished great feats so they are given titles, such as Lan Zhan has the title 'Hanguanjun' which means 'Lightbearing Lord' as my memory serves. Thankfully not every character has another title so you should mainly worry about the main characters birth and courtesy names. And the handful of main cast whose character's titles become relevant in the story. Sorry if I've rambled on I just find this stuff fascinating and for me helped me understand the show better when I first watched it.

Idk if you know but Wang Yibo (the one that plays Lan Zhan) actually used to be a kpop group im not sure is they disbanded but ik that they are inactive since each memeber is doing their own thing.

I know this is old but when reading chinese or Korean names the last names come first example Wang Yibo. Wang is his last name Yibo is his first. I love all your content keep up the good work

Wow if you starting to watch the Untamed, pls bear in mind that in some story executions/actions/dialogues, etc they are much poorer than K-dramas and western dramas. Chinese dramas need so much to catch up in terms of quality. There will be also so many very2 slow pace scenes and episodes 😅 But the story, wardrobes, OSTs, sceneries, music, acting, and beautiful cinematography are all top notched in the Untamed ❤ Also please don't expect any skinship, romance etc in this drama due to the cencorship
