This whole idea of creators making authentic products in their fields rather than just printed clothing is so cool. I tint cars for a living and have just been floored with the support from my community with the tint tools I’ve released. Just special edition or unique things to my field. Andrew and the whole of The BCU is criminally underrated, despite having millions of subscribers. They are such amazing and talented people that make quality, wholehearted and honest content with the intention of inspiring and helping people. What I mean is that I don't really see them get talked about alot in the media. And I'd like them to get talked about more not just as talented people but how honestly they portray their content and personalities. That's what I mean.

As a creator it makes me relieved that I wasn't the only one who saw a huge dip in views. It really affects me to see those dips.
@deathhimself1653
@deathhimself1653 2 жыл бұрын
It happens every year, actually. See, the three months before the end of the year has not only the most ad output, but also the most views. It's that buildup towards christmas, and then *falls off a cliff* The thing is, most creators see all the new views, want to capitalize, and increase output. Then the dip comes, and they are still producing at the highest output for the lowest views. The three biggest, best months, followed by the three smallest, worst months. Its a leading cause of burnout.

Wow. Shocked that my experience is so similar to Andrew's. Rock bottom moment after investing heavily in film school and failing to sell my big spec screenplay to the studios when it went out wide, having to leave LA with a pile of debt and the feeling of complete failure - feeling like my dreams might just be a fantasy, relying on my day job and thinking maybe this is it for me, and then KZbin comes along and a video "hits big" and all of a sudden I'm a "Content Creator" (albeit a small one still). These Creators sharing their stories is so meaningful and validating, fellas. I think between Andrew and Van we're going to hear about a lot of Creators who had Hollywood dreams and then pivoted into KZbin because it CHECKS EVERY BOX. It really does. Andrew said it - AUTONOMY. Man these vids are good. Keep 'em coming!

Andrew, It's helpful to hear a big channel openly discuss the same frustrations we all are having in this space over the last 6 months. I think your advice on how to process it (basically separate how you view yourself from how your channel performs) is incredibly helpful. Full stop. C&S, I would have enjoyed a follow up question to get Andrew's take what exactly is happening systemically that is causing the entire food genre to slump in the last 6 months. That's a BIG statement from a Big youtuber and it would have been on brand for you guys to ask. I'm thinking you were probably just running out of time, but man what an open ended opportunity left unexplored...particularly since this video is going to attract foodie youtubers who are wondering what changed all of the sudden. With that said, thank you again for another fantastic upload. You guys do great work!

Shit, this felt way too accurate 6minutes in. I went to film school too and last year completed a short film I spent a year on working 70+hr long weeks while unemployed, it was a super personal passion project I had wanted to make for years, and to direct/write/produce/compose the music for it, only to be dissatisfied with it in the end was soul crushing. Luckily also decided to make some guitar-playing tiktoks on the side during the year as a hobby, and somehow that’s sort of turned into a bit of the thing?? So now I’m considering making music/ being a content creator as my foot in the door instead (which is crazy to consider!) Truly never know where the right path might be for you - this foodie/filmmaker/musician LOVED this!!!! Crushed it again guys🔥

Great content! Such an inspiring and useful life story. I'm Babish's fan from Thailand since his first series and I'm hooked by his creativity.

Fascinating to see how they used a different depth of field between the interviewer and guest. Almost a lean towards how Binging with Babish is known to use their depth of field in their videos to focus the food, they used it to focus on their guest.
