He is regarded as the 6th Fatimid Imam by Shia Muslims.Sunni Muslims hold Hazrat Imam Jafar al Sadiq R.A.in high esteem-as the greatest Islamic scholar of his time and an honorable and pious member of the holy Ahle Bait R.A.A.❤❤❤❤❤

Many traditions of Imam Jafar as Sadiq (as) contradict your statement that the Imam followed the sahabas. Jafar as Sadiq (as) did not participate in the revolts not because he was in agreement with the Ummayads but because he remained in a quietist position and this is the position of all imams after Karbala. As for lineage, it is in no way proof of agreement on the beliefs of the caliphs, whether Abu Bakr or the others. Mohamed ibn Abi Bakr was a Shiite of Imam Ali (as), unlike his father or his sister. Furthermore, the teachings of Imam Jafar as Sadiq (a.s.) largely contradict Sunni teachings on many points. He was the Imam of the Shiites and severely criticized Abu Hanifa.
