They were Man City fans you’d never see Oasis go to a Man Utd Match, No Fucking Way 😂 😂 but a great, amazing, interesting documentary as it tells the true origins of the greatest and biggest band in history as of now I’d say they are bigger than the Beatles if not on same par with them, man what an origin, I can imagine Oasis with Liam, Guigsy, Bonehead, Tony McCarol already having somewhat of the amazing untouchable Oasis sound. I remember hearing Columbia on the radio at work, 15 years old in 94 and going straight out to get it from Woolworths, then shouting at mother saying these are your next Beatles the best music since the 60’s & 70’s the rest was history going to clubs everybody singing along to Live Forever, Supersonjc, Shakermaker, Cigarettes and Alcohol, Then Don’t Look Back In Anger, Wonderwall, She’s Electric, Some Might Say, Cast No Shadow, Hey Now, Sad Song, Talk Tonight, just heaven, just pure Bliss, Thank you Oasis, changed my life and thank you for this amazing video

Liam is so misunderstood. Pure beautiful soul Liam has. Oasis offered him a job he didn’t want it. So why didn’t Big Un take the back stage job.
@GreggZvideos
@GreggZvideos 10 ай бұрын
You're right; Liam Gallagher is often seen as a complex figure with a lot of depth beneath his public persona. As for Big'Un, he turned down the backstage job offer. Sometimes people choose not wanting to change the nature of their relationship with the band. It's a reminder that behind the scenes, there are personal choices and stories as compelling as the music itself.
@gavintuesday4959
@gavintuesday4959 10 ай бұрын
What was the nature of the relationship? Clearly, never one that he assumed ! Imposed himself on others without any use or talent . Bit like the Jim Carey character in The Cable Guy He’s just a guy who did a bit of networking with the personnel, was brought of the ride for a while and wrongly assumed that he would be there forever . He’s the type that would bore the living shit out of anyone in a pub , constantly talking about the band as if himself was in it . “Defending” the band , “as if they were family “ ffs

As a fan of oasis I can see both sides. What’s the bigger take from this? Noel seems to be at the center of all the firing and unfriending and usually as soon as he feels like the kid that’s gotta share a toy. Liam seems a bit aloof and the type to get caught up in shit like fame and such but is just a phase and eventually comes back down to earth and can then make amends and forget about squabbles. Noel didn’t forget, doesn’t apologize, and therefore no amends will be made and Oasis will forever be in the past. It does bother me to say that because you don’t want it to be that way but at the end of the day it just seems to be the way.
@GreggZvideos

You've captured the intricacy of the relationship between the Gallagher brothers and dug into the core of Oasis's dynamic conflict. It's true that Liam is renowned for his brazen, carefree demeanor both onstage and off, while Noel is frequently perceived as the more somber, business-minded one, focused on musical purity and control. This difference contributed to their legendary reputation and ultimately brought them to an end. Your opinion is in line with what many fans have noticed: Despite Liam's more erratic attitude, Noel's unwillingness to make concessions or make amends has prevented Oasis from getting back together. It serves as a moving reminder of how interpersonal conflicts may undermine even the most fruitful teamwork.
@GreggZvideos
@GreggZvideos 9 ай бұрын
@@frfrbsb You've obviously thought a great deal about the relationships in Oasis, especially those between Noel and Liam Gallagher. Regarding the intricacies of their relationship and their respective responsibilities in the band, you've raised some interesting points. It's true that Noel had a lot of influence because he was the main lyricist and a major decision-maker. This frequently put him in difficult situations, such as the one you described involving Alan White. It's crucial to keep in mind that band dynamics can be quite complex and influenced by a wide range of personal and professional issues, especially in groups as well-known and turbulent as Oasis. Your comparison between Noel and Liam and persons with various occupations who, consequently, have different "scents" is a clever method to illustrate how roles within a band can influence attitudes and actions. It highlights that what appears to be a personal characteristic is frequently a requirement or outcome for one's line of work. You're bringing up a crucial point about Noel's forgiveness and his decision to leave toxic relationships, which is his attitude to self-care and mental health. It's true that severing ties with individuals who persistently bring negativity into one's life can be a wise move. You appear to think that Noel's stated actions toward his brother and other band members are consistent with this idea of mental well-being and self-preservation. You also mentioned a crucial point on how their fights are cyclical. In tense relationships, it's frequently necessary to interrupt a pattern of contact rather than just expecting one person to change. It appears that a big reason Oasis hasn't reformed is this cycle. According to your interpretation, even though Noel doesn't initiate the connection, it is nonetheless mutually detrimental because of the way he responds to Liam's provocations. Ultimately, your last metaphor with the leaking house and the broken toaster is a moving approach to convey that, although each brother has his concerns (the broken toaster), the bigger issues between them (the flooding house) need to be resolved first. The premise that concentrating on little problems won't fix the larger, more urgent ones is succinctly captured by this metaphor. I appreciate you expressing your opinions!

Noel is a genius and tell me one musical genius from Lennon to Cobain that didnt have a difficult different complex introvert personality!! Noel is a songwriter he is on a different plane to Liam whose personality is so simple he's not much different to an ape, there is nothing interesting with Liam, hes basically had hos older brother do e everything for him and had a good childhood whilst Noel was battered and Noel took the beatings for liam and amd told his mum if you dont leavd him ill kill him so she left him so Liam had a spoilt childhood compared. Noel made so many people rich and they are all spiteful and ungrateful just coz he doesn't care to be there friend! Noel is Oasis them songs are his dreams music has been his life whilst liam just wants fame and said if the gigs weren't big he wouldn't make music anymore but Noel would

You've highlighted the intriguing contrast between Noel and Liam Gallagher, a dynamic that's as compelling as their music. Noel's reputed genius and complex personality indeed set him apart, much like many other musical icons from Lennon to Cobain. It's fascinating how these intricate personalities shape their art and influence.

What absolute twaddle. He’s a periphery figure who Liam worked for pre-Oasis, who has a massively overly inflated sense of his importance in their story. No wonder he’s been shut out. They offered him a job doing something of value to the band, which he declined - because he had a van and was car valeting for a few footballers. That’s literally the end of the story. 30 years later, he’s still trying to dine out on the band.
@GreggZvideos
@GreggZvideos 10 ай бұрын
Hey there, thanks for sharing your thoughts! It's true that Big'Un is considered a more peripheral figure in the grand Oasis narrative. His role and influence can certainly be seen as more modest compared to the core members of the band. We aim to explore various angles and lesser-known stories surrounding rock legends, and sometimes that includes figures who might not be in the limelight but have interesting anecdotes to share. It's fascinating how different perspectives can paint a varied picture of the band's history.
@Steaminlidz
@Steaminlidz 10 ай бұрын
@@GreggZvideos It is interesting to look at the different people getting the band off the ground and providing the band with assistance, and Noel certainly does have form for downplaying the influence that others had (The Real People successfully proved that). I don’t believe that Big’un is in that same category, no matter what he might believe.
@GreggZvideos
@GreggZvideos 10 ай бұрын
I think the broader context is that many aspects of our world are deceptive. The system perpetually crafts stories to shape our beliefs. This pattern probably applies to nearly every band or rockstar we look up to. My comment isn't so much in support of Paul Ashbee as it is an observation about the music industry and the complex network it creates.

What next? A video of their first girlfriends or their first groupies ? I think even the most hardcore Oasis fans can accept that the Gallagher brothers are thundering gobshites with big mouths and egos that are way beyond their actual considerable talent, more so Noel. However, this video simply sets out to blacken them . No one likes people (Big Un - grow up lad , you are in your 50s ) trying to live off the coat tails of others, especially when their use and value expired a long long time ago He couldn’t be trusted with his mouth or his own little gang who came in and caused problems . It’s enough to have one Liam Gallagher and not a mob of wannabes (you see them at gigs and pubs. All dressed like him and copy his mannerisms. Total nut jobs ) See how naive he was . Alan McGee sussed him out and trapped him with ideas of making up stories to the press and denied it all. No doubt that was a plant job . Look, Paul Gallagher , their brother is another useless hanger on. They had to get rid of him too. What on earth was he doing getting interviewed a lot . He even got a book out of it in the early days, albeit it was well written (who ever did the work ) People like that will always end up embarrassing you

Who the f*** is Big Un 😂 , ive never heard his name in 30 years , something tells me this guy knew Liam , was a chancer and a hanger on and was eventually told to do one cus him and his mates were thinking they were part of the band and could do what they liked , taking liberties etc.. Who put this video together ? It really feels like they are working hard to make a small role into this guy being the main man in Oasis , why would Ferguson speak to the car valet ffs 😂 Very odd video , they owe him nothing , just a chancer trying to make out he is more than he is , I bet they don't even remember the guy 😂

The narrative presented might seem to inflate Big Un's role, but in the world of rock 'n' roll, where personal relationships can significantly influence musicians and their direction, his impact as a friend and mentor might have been more substantial than it appears. The video likely aims to explore these less visible influences, offering a more nuanced view of what goes into the making of a band beyond just the music and public figures.

His decision not to take a job with the band might seem confusing to some, but it reflects the nuanced and personal choices people make in the music industry. It's a reminder that relationships in the rock 'n' roll world often go beyond simple categorizations of "hanger-on" or "band member." These stories add depth to our understanding of the music and the people who create it. Let's continue exploring these stories and appreciate the complex human elements that contribute to the music we love.

Big Un is a local type operator who never had worldwide vision or drive . He had enough in him to make a decent life for himself in Manchester and that’s his own personal . He was friendly and helped the Gallaghers who had global draw talent and ambition to match . At some point there was always going to be a parting of ways as one side out grew the other . Liam and offering him a job was decent and done out of any feelings of loyalty they had for him but big Un either had other bigger plans for himself or his local boss type ego couldn’t handle it ….
