On the outskirts of Bellaire, Ohio (OH) lies an old two-story Victorian home known as the "Bellaire house" that has become famous over recent years both among locals, as well as across the country, with some saying it could be the most haunted place in the United States if not the world. Like a mouse falling into a pit of snakes an unsuspecting family disturbed a slumbering force and became enshrouded in a fog of darkness. From paranormal activity, demonic manifestations and dark seances. There is a lot to this Ohio story. This is untold story of the Bellaire House and the terrifying malevolent entities that dwell within it's walls.

All paranormal encounters aside.. If my family & I had lost everything TWICE due to flash floods, just about the LAST place I'd choose to resettle would be a home overlooking the banks of a RIVER.

It's not as big of a gamble as one might think. When you buy a house with a bank loan/mortgage the home owner is responsible for insurance. The insurance companies know historically where the flood line is, aka flood level zones which is an excellent indicator of the likelihood of the house suffering a flood. Aside from that, people continue to live in areas where they have multiple earthquakes, tornadoes and hurricanes.

I live a few short minutes from the Bellaire House. It sits really high up and there is no way the river could flood it. Seeing it sit so high up may have been another selling point to them when they purchased it.

Cody, I used to live in an old Craftsman house as a kid. I loved it like crazy but it was beyond haunted. It was primarily the spirit of a man , who most nights would come clomping through the house on those lovely wood floors, slamming first the Front for then the back door on his way through the house waking everyone - including my 🔫 toting dad - looking for a trespasser of the human kind. He began to suspect that my older siblings were playing practical jokes on him & he would attempt to catch them at it, without avail. The thing that convinced him it was a spirit was me, as a little kid, telling him about the big man who came and sat in the rocking chair in my room, after he walked noisily through the house. At first he passed over my story as a kids imagination. Then concerned that the intruder might be after more than robbery or mischief he curled up next to me in my bed for a night, bent on catching the intruder. I had told my Dad that this was a nice man who just looked out for me while I slept, but the thought of someone in his baby girls bedroom must have scared the bejesus out of him. He told me a bedtime story then we drifted off to sleep. The man came and instead of sitting in the rocker I woke to him standing next to the bed, staring at my Dad who woke then saw this spirit looking back at him. Before he could scramble out of the bed, the spirit disappeared before our eyes. My Dad was stunned. He got me all tucked in again and went back to my parents room to finish sleeping - that’s if he could? He stopped trying to see who was walking through the house. And for the spirits part, he was largely quiet, only occasionally thumping through the house. Perhaps my Dad & he realized they were both on the same mission? We found out later from an elderly neighbor that the man who had built this old Craftsman beauty had had himself buried under the house he loved. This was when you could still do things like this and get away with it because in many places in the US final wishes in a will are still honored. Particularly rural places. He was a Farmer who rose very early in the morning - before first light - to tend to his animals and go about his day, farming his lands. When I saw him in my rocker, he was wearing big brown unlaced boots. I think that’s why he clumped so noisily through the house while walking. Or maybe he made such noises to let us know he was there? That he was patrolling? Maybe he was lonely… That’s what I think - that he was lonely & just wanted company - I was never afraid of him. He didn’t look or act in the least scary.

What a great story! Wow. yea, it must be the guy who built the home. I lived in an old 2 story on a river in the 80's. At times late we heard this banging as if a sledgehammer was wailing on heavy pipe. And I woke up to an apparition at foot of my bed. But I was like you, never scared.

When I was 5, my parents moved my family to a tiny town called Lipscomb in the Texas panhandle. It had at the time a total population of 20(including my family of 4) we moved there for my dads job in the oilfield. My parents rented a 2 story house that was built in the late 1800’s with the intention of buying it. It was a beautiful old home and everything was going great at first until my father began hearing noises of people walking around the house and loud crashes. He kept it to himself for about a month until my mother began noticing the strange events. It took a dark turn and we moved out after only living there for 3 months. My parents have a strong Christian faith and we practically lived in the church. They didn’t believe in the paranormal or ghosts until that house made them and our entire family believers. I still will occasionally have a nightmare about that house and I’m 23 now.

That certainly sounds like quite the experience to have lived through. Sometimes it takes truly experiencing these things to make one believe. I'm also not shocked that it's in your dreams. I too still have nightmares about the houses that I've experienced. I hope you all are safe now.

This is absolutely 💯 truly haunted. I grew up in Bellaire when I was younger and I went into this house once. When you walk in the energy changed and the hair stood up on the back of my neck. There isn't just one spirit, multiple. I had bad nightmares and never stepped foot inside again. Very bad spirits and nothing to joke about. To me it seem like this house had a portal straight to hell. Warning!!! If you do decide to visit, I would get blessed by a preacher first. This video brought back memories and I am glad to never experience this ever again in my life.

New sub. Lived in a 2 story Victorian in the Vineyard neighborhood of Dallas, TX early 80’s during my college years. This place had a reputation for being “haunted”. One evening as I sat studying, there were the distinct sounds of footsteps coming down the hall outside my room. They stopped just short of the closed door. At that moment all the hair on my body stood up and I knew something paranormal was happening. Then came a strong smell of perfume which gradually dissipated. I understand the house was purchased and made into a law office. I sometimes wonder if the activity still occurs and hope that office hours don’t extend beyond nightfall,,,

Melissa Cole - I’m going to agree with some points and disagree with others you had mentioned. I lived with both, malevolent and benevolent spirits, in the various places that I had lived in. I’ve been “followed” by a tall male figure throughout my life until I married my husband. This tall male figure was my great-great grandfather, who I never met, but he “protected” me from being harmed. This male figure was my moms great-grandfather, who she only met once, and he came to me when I was 3, and when I described him to my mom, she became afraid. Since then, I’ve been able to sense the spiritual realm, just like my mom. Living with my great-grandma, my dads’ grandma, there was a malevolent force in that house. Whatever was there wanted me dead, but I relied heavily upon prayer (I still do) to make it go away, and my great-great grandpa was there to protect me from that entity. Now, I do believe wholeheartedly that there are many benevolent spirits here that just don’t want to cross over, for whatever reason they may have, and they feel like it’s their duty to protect us living beings from harm. However, they do not like change, especially to their home. That’s why we must ask them permission to renovate their home. It’s a sign of respect. I wholeheartedly believe that we CAN live harmoniously with benevolent spirits. Those who have died very quickly and violently don’t realize that they’re dead, so they go through the same process as they had done when alive. So, they’re going to turn on the water, flush toilets, move things around, etc. They’re mad because they feel like the living is encroaching on their privacy, and moved into their home without their permission. These spirits are NOT demonic! Demonic entities are absolutely frightening! There ARE signs that there’s something demonic in the home. These signs are as follows: unexplained bruises on a person, scratches in the form of 3, cold spells in certain areas of the home, a foul smell that comes from all areas and cannot be confirmed coming from one particular area of the home, many insect infestations centering a certain area of the house, feeling of dread every single minute staying in the house, any and all religious artifacts destroyed, damaged or disappeared, animals that pay particular attention to a certain area of the home or they absolutely refuse to enter a certain area of the home, seeing “children” when there’s no child in the home and no child had been recorded as dying in the home or around the property, scratching noises that seem that it’s happening all around the home or stemming from a particular area, etc. Now, I believe that before anyone moves into a home, do research on the home and property. Make absolute sure that there wasn’t any sudden or suspicious deaths that happened in the home or on the property; if there was, do not purchase the home! See how many people have “owned” the home and property, and see how long each person/family have lived in the home and property; if there seems to be many people/families and they only live there for less than 2 years, then there’s something very, very wrong with the house and property! Do not purchase it! It also SHOULD be cleansed, blessed and protected by a religious leader BEFORE you move into the home!

There's another story about this house where a utility worker came and then left quickly leaving all his tools there and never came back for them. There's a episode dealing with this house where a group of investigators invite a guy that did an investigation there 10 yrs previous and because of his experience there he wouldn't go back and stopped investigations all together and when he got to the house part of the other group was up stairs asking questions and within about 10 minutes or even less of that guy arriving the voice on the recorder up stairs said "Matt's back" IT KNEW IT WAS THAT SAME GUY FROM 10YRS AGO!?! that house is something not to play with. I’m from Columbus Ohio and my family owned a house that’s been around since the 1800’s as a kid I remember playing hide and go seek we started outside and when I went in to hide in the closet it slammed shut and I couldn’t get out! There was no lock on the outside, when my sibling heard me banging she came and opened the door. I heard her come from outside it was just us two! My mom used to make us travel around the house together for any reason, laundry restroom, cleaning. The lights never worked in the basement and my sister and I saw a bug with a mans face in the basement it smiled and disappeared. The final straw was when something unseen hung her out of the window by her neck. The panic and fear on her face was unreal it was the most bizarre fucking house...

I lived in a haunted house famous in the area at least in the northern neck of Virginia. It was built in the 1770s. You could hear what everyone called the running ghost who ran through the dining room. Window air conditioners would turn on in the winter by themselves, if you took pictures in one room you would sometimes see orbs. Not these tiny things you see on the web that looks like red eye either. The crazy thing was, none of us felt threatened, even my mom who got scared by herself in a normal house felt comfortable. However, things were not the same when the house was empty. The house didn't like contractors and people who came to work on the house. Also there was one bedroom that was a bit of a problem. My sister didn't like the room though she never got scared out of it. When I spent a few nights in this room when I came back to visit, I woke up with scratches all over me. I wasn't very thrilled about that. Finding bricks from the hearth which was level with the floor. The haunting continues and once again, it doesn't seem to bother people who live there. Pull handles raised the next day. Crazy.

Hi Cody, thank you for your time and energy with putting this together about the Bellaire House. I wanted to clear up that we never slept in the basement. We slept in the first floor. It didn’t take me two years to find the bellaire house, it was maybe 5-6 months. As any presenter proceeds to move forward with my paranormal experiences I’d really appreciate leaving my kids out of it. It busts open wounds for them that I truly hope they forget. I have no documents proving Emily Davis stayed in my sons room. The part about my son upset me-I’m a mother & I will always protect my kids. I get some of it is public knowledge, but it would be great to leave the kids out of it & if they ever want to talk about it that can. I don’t want anyone ever speaking on behalf of my kids. I’m sure you understand. I appreciate you & your work very much. If you ever do another one please contact me so we can get on the same page. Happy holidays to you and your family. Much love. I wish people wouldn’t mess with stuff that could possibly bring bad stuff in! Let the people Rest In Peace! I won’t allow a ouija board in my home! However, I DO believe that people who are killed can come back to get justice!

Great points Diane. I'm with you there. I think it's more than likely that whatever was contacted probably wasn't a departed human soul/souls. But something much darker.
