Me and my husband went to Bobby Mackeys out of curiosity years ago. We did the ghost tour of the basement and had a great night. Days later, things started happening at home that were unexplained. All of us had demonic nightmares that were all pretty similar. We started hearing each others voices when we knew they weren't home and things moved or flown. It was a nightmare that lasted about 3 months then just stopped. We will never step foot in there again. Its legit. I also want to add i met Carl Lawson that night and he was incredibly nice and soft spoken.

Hey there. When it comes to KZbin´s algorithm it is vital to me that too many people do not notice my channel at once. So what I did was train its algorithm to find mostly science and physics videos. This gives you ample time to fix your videos, edit your stories, fix your introductions, make your conclusions more convincing and make each story you write more entertaining for you and your audience. The next step is to slowly let your channel rise, not to let it rise too fast. To build it up. Set boundaries like no kids allowed to watch your videos, etc. Thanks for your stories and your video man. Kind regards from Ásgeir in Iceland.

I grew up in Cincinnati, and being born in the 50s, was always aware of the crime gangsters in Northern Kentucky. (I knew the sister of Frank "Screw" Andrews). Bobby Mackey's, known previously as the Latin Quarter, was one of the Speak Easys that the mob would frequent. After Bobby acquired the place and turned it into a country nightclub and bar, we would go there to ride the mechanical bull. George Jones was one of the entertainers there when I went. Awesome dive into this place's history!! Loved it!! Bobby Mackey's attitude always puzzled me, because he doesn't believe in ghosts but he makes a living out of renting the place for paranormal tours and investigations, and he even wrote a song to Joanna. Fun fact: I've heard his full name's Robert Randall Mackey -Robert Randall, like Joanna's lover. I don't know, there's something off about him. I remember Zak Bagans (Ghost Adventures very first episode back in 2008 was investigating Bobby Mackey's!) after two or three investigations there, vaguely suggested that maybe Bobby Mackey the man has some kind of deal with whatever's there. Like, let me keep the business running like I want and I'll keep bringing you people to feed on/attach to. Not that I live by Bagans word, far from it, but he may be on to something about this particular place. Keep up the great work!! Thanks for the time and dedication!! 💙💙💙

🇬🇧 This was a really good docu about this place, Bobby Mackies or Macks ? Id heard it vaguely in some compilation from another channel & hadnt been really grabbed by it. So when i saw you had done a vid & knowing your penchant for getting down to the nitty gritty I got right on to it! You certainly did it justice! I once watched a documentary, oh years ago about some nightclubs & venues throughout Britain, where guest mediums were asked to go into these places ( obviously without customers or acts being on the premises) It was facinating! Alot of very wierd & chilly info came out & the programmes researchers looked back in various newspaper stories, police files, death notices etc & verified much of The info the mediums found out It was very impressive. There was once a famous London venue ( it still is, & puts on entertainment in central London to this day) where big shows were on, even televised performances, Anyway this medium, well respected & independantly wealthy ( meaning he didnt need money nor to con people) He picked up in one of the Top Billed dressing rooms, that satanic or Black Magic rituals had taken place there going back to the 1950s & this room was an important " cross over" place. What got myself & every other Brit who watched this programme Was just WHO were the double act comedians who were household names, top drawer act who practised these black magic rituals in this dressing room? There were quite a few top duo male comedic acts from the 1960s to the late 80s or early 90s We never found out who they were, but there was much speculation! These music, nightclub, entertainment venues had some facinating stories! Also theatres are well known for having ghosts, from actors to members of the audience. Its a brilliant area for research & stories! Maybe you should look into doing a video all about places like this Bobby Macks one & other famous Haunted clubs, theatres & the like! Thanks for this comprehensive story, very enjoyable Peace &Good Cheer to All 🇬🇧👧

@roofermanohio6636 The KJV is not the most accurate or faithful translation, it’s puregibberish. You think that they knew more about translating accurately into English back then than they do today? People haven’t spoken like that for centuries FFS. What does “Jacob sod pottage” even mean? (Gen 25:29 KJV) If you want accuracy learn ancient Hebrew, Aramaic and Ancient Greek, otherwise just read it in your native language translated by expert scholars in ancient biblical languages and grammar in whatever language you speak. God’s a big boy, the Holy Spirit doesn’t need some medieval book in a language no one speaks any more to get his word across to those He’s chosen to give His grace to.

There is actually even more to this story. Though unable to be proven, the property where the bar is located in 1749, prior to settlement by Europeans, a large battle occurred between Cherokee Native Americans and Shawnee Native Americans. As many as 600 graves of slain warriors have been unearthed. There is also a "legend" that at the end of the French and Indian war, there was a fort that had been constructed on that property. The French and Indian soldiers that had garrisoned the fort, where all found dead, no English unit being anywhere near that fort, ot have done it. It is also stated, that the bodies where no found until 2 years after the conclusion of the war. The French Government had pressured to the British Crown to release what they thought where prisoners. Upon the military investigating, the soldiers remains where found. No official record was ever made of the incident.

Omg! I can't even imagine how bad that probably smelled when the river was lower in the summers. I love bacon but factory farming and their horrible practices make me seriously want to give up meat when I think about it. That's why I try to buy local, from farmers with free-range cows. Small farms don't do awful things like creating Blood Rivers. P.S. The fact that it's called the Licking River and it goes through a place called Wilder is both disturbing (the Licking part) and accurate (the Wilder part). I feel bad for the people who had to work in the slaughterhouse. They can get really sick from porcine diseases that can transmit to humans, and the work conditions are atrocious.

@@allenlindsey1175 That's EXACTLY what I expect which is why I bow in homage to Kentucky. One of the kajillion True Crime books I've read said with the exception of California more serial killers come from where Kentucky and West Virginia and one other state (my geography is crap. Sorry) intersect. And if that doesn't make Kentucky remarkable enough it has more native burial mounds and the largest unexplored cave system of any other state. I like to personalize things. For instance I think if the country of Columbia was a person it'd be Hannibal Lecter. If Kentucky was a person it'd be Ed Gein with an amazing talent for fiddle and banjo.

I've been to Bobby Mackey's a couple of times. My 'Auntie' was a hostess there in the 90's. Her name was Laura .. but after working there (and having encounters) she changed. A lot. And even changed her name. She wanted to be called Abigail. She thought of herself as this persona, a very feminine southern bell. It was weird. Ironically, your story tells of the violence that overcomes people. One of the nights I was there, with my real life Aunt, we were dancing and having a good time when all of the sudden she was arguing with someone and a brawl broke out. An old fashioned everybody swinging kind of barroom brawl. We ran out into the night and woods once the police came. I don't know if it's still open. I didn't know of its reputation, Bobby tried to keep it secret, until After I went. I don't think I'll go back anytime soon.

My best friends dad was like this. The house was insanely haunted, we heard footsteps and saw shadows and apparitions, even has things break and slam. There were countless times the dad was home alone and heard people walking upstairs or closing and opening things, and ferociously denied anything was happening and thought me and my friends were tricking him and playing games. It’s one hell of a drug, and Its ironic too. What is denial but fear in disguise? To ignore the reality of a dangerous situation… is to be in the deepest grip of terror. So deep and so great, than any horror one would feel when turning to face that danger pales in comparison
@spectralnighttravel Жыл бұрын
The person in denial just isn't very bright. That's all, really. It doesn't matter if it was in the 1970s or in a country music bar. The more intelligent one is, the more they're apt to be open minded and receptive to new ideas. The reverse is true for being of rather dim intelligence.
