I'm a og at age 52 and still a die hard Bulls fan. I was fortunate enough to cop every original pair of Jordan's from the 1's to the 14's except for the 2's in which I eventually copped back in December of 2022 and my favorites Jordan's are the 1's, 3's, 11's, 12's and the 13's. I still have my original pair of Jordan 1 Chicago's that I got back in 1985.

I was working at a shoe store called Athlete's Foot as a Sr. in High School in 1985. Saved up and bought the Jordan 1, or back then just Air Jordans for $64.99

Thank you for pointing out the REAL "Banned" shoe; the Black and Red AIRSHIPS! Tbh, Thats the shoe that started this whole thing. The unofficial Air Jordan 1 It's the shoe he had to play in(pre season) while they were constructing the Air Jordan 1. It was pretty much going to look and feel like that shoe that's why NIKE had him wear it for the time being. Of course the color way was a whole issue and he was gonna get fined if he kept playing in them. So they gave him a pair of custom Red and White AIRSHIPS and Grey and White AIRSHIPS. Meanwhile NIKE came up with a billion dollar marketing strategy from that debacle... Then they finally gave him the Red and White AIR Jordan 1 to play in...and sold us the ones he "couldn't" play in..... the rest is History.

I played basketball in the summer League, Highschool, and into college and never found Jordans to be that comfortable especially the first one as they were stiff and heavy on the feet. So I am perplexed that anyone would wear the Ones as to me they were not a more uncomfortable shoe to wear then the Ones. The Jordan I did like were the 3,4 11,, 12, 23, and 34se so that is what I wear when I play.
