DEL TACO without a doubt. I really like the menu. I used to like naugles as well. There is a 24 hr Del taco right next to Disneyland. Talk about a life saver especially when you have a bunch of kids. Given the choice, I'd rather go to Del taco. How come there is only 1 Del taco in San jose. It is in Campbell ca. It used to be a naugles. Central valley ca. There are everywhere.

I miss late 90s and early 2000s during Tuesday Taco nite. 3 tacos for 99 cents. Would order 15 of them for under 5 bucks, drench them with taco sauce and would be full for an entire 24 hour period. That'd be my one meal a day.

I've had Taco Bell and Del Taco. Lived in Cali for about 2 years near Yermo where Del Taco started. I miss Del Taco. Dont get me wrong, Taco Bell is legit too, but If you put "The Del" taco next to a taco supreme from Taco Bell, i choose "The Del" everytime. I live in florida now and when i make my way to Orlando, i ALWAYS stop by the Del Taco there.

One of my first jobs was working for a Del Taco franchise! To this day I can still make bomb ass tacos!!! However, this was in Atlanta in 1996 and as far as I know, there aren’t any Del Taco locations in Atlanta anymore. :(

I love Del Taco! Few years back me and my mom were watching the 2016 World Series (CUBS I wanna say) and it was just us two. Dad was out of town on travel and both my sisters don't much care for baseball(plus its a good memory of my moms dad (my grandpa) who loved a ball game and its become a tradition for just me and my mom to watch the series together(I'm 36)....lol got off track! Anyway she wanted a few tacos from Taco Bell (to eat some tacos and watch the game near the AMAZING fire place at the farm) and I said NAHHHH lets try Del Taco!!! She hasn't been back to Taco bell since that day! Del Taco just has FAR better tacos than TB and they have more meat,cheese ect!

I frequented the Del Tacos at Barstow from the mid 1960's to the last time I ate there in 1980. The food was so legendary, there was a certain combination of spice for the meat filling of tacos and burritos that was unrivaled. The lettuce was a super fine, crispy shred that added a special touch. The cheese used was perfection. The refried beans were to die for, flavor and consistency that I have never found since. I remember the french fries as being shoestrings and boy were they good, looking at the present day adds they have gone to crinkle cuts and those would not be my choice for the culinary delivery that was trademark for Del Taco's old fries. I had heard that much has changed, the original flavors and food quality is not the same although still deemed better than the competition. I did eat at a Del Taco in Bend Oregon in the late 1990's?? and it was a sorry disappointment, food quality was nothing like we remembered. Oh how I wish to be able to have meat burrito, a taco burger, order of refried beans and an order of fries from back in the good old days.

I ate at a Del Taco in Barstow. The food tasted so much better than other locations. The food was very hot and fresh tasting.

With the exception of the Barstow locations, the quality has gone down since the 90’s. Bun tacos are using toasted sesame seed buns, the ground beef has a certain strong spice to it, the burgers use shredded lettuce instead of leaf lettuce, ketchup mustard replaced with thousand island dressing, and patties have shrunk in size. This is how come they lead in value. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

Is this a California thing? I may have heard of Del Taco but I've never seen one. Here in Minnesota we have Taco John's which my Californian friends think is hilariously named. They have great corn tortilla tacos with good old ground beef and traditional accouterments like the ones I ate in the 1960s though!

I like Del Taco, however in my hometown of Las Vegas, NV every time I ge an order to go the shells are cracked or broken through 99% of the time. Note to DT, I'm not a rabbit so go easy on the lettuce. More lettuce less meat seams to be the norm.

I work at one and on tuesdays we are just constantly getting slammed with 10-50 value tacos or fiesta packs per order sometimes. It’s hard not to break them while wrapping them because they’re fragile and you also gotta be fast. As for the meat there’s a little scooper for it and we got to level the scooper with meat before putting in the taco (some people don’t level the scooper and either undsershoot or overshoot it with meat) And for lettuce if there’s a lot of tacos to make we literally grab a handful and spread/ drop them across the tacos. It’s the same with cheese but it’s easier to put it on the tacos than lettuce.

Del Taco is the amazing!!! No it’s not real Mexican food and SoCal is full of the real deal easily accessible at every corner but growing up with a choice of fresher fast food at a reasonable price it was always Del Taco!!! Spicy jack with chicken, 10 or 15 packets of del scorcho or del inferno and crinkly fries. Taco Tuesday’s or Taco Thursday’s always get love too. If you have the app, they’re always giving away free stuff. Back in my day (graduated high school in 2000), we didn’t have that luxury. What a time to be alive kids...

Not a fan of Del Taco. I got 6 tacos for myself and coworker. By the time I got back to the shop? The tacos were in a big block of solidified grease. Many years later I stopped after work one evening and got 2 shrimp tacos. My waste was a light green for over 3 days. I have not been back since.

I worked for del taco when they were here in Texas. Became a huge fan of them. They didn’t last anywhere throughout the United States when they attempted to expand. The trainer ( because I began before they first opened the the door for sales) said if del taco does not succeed in other states it’s because they are not cooking everything correctly. That’s a lie. Certain regions just will never catch on
