I love this movie. And agree the music is fantastic. The sad music gets me every time - lump in throat instantly. Great acting , action and story all combine to make an instant classic ❤

Ofcourse it is! Just like 'The Seven Minutes' is a book about books - The Untouchables is a movie which pays homage to all the movie masters and goes one better on them whether it is Hitchcock or Eisenstein. If De Palma made just one movie like this in his lifetime Id still consider him an all time great

Killer review man. What a movie, glad to hear someone cover this gangster classic. As you noted, great direction, solid cast. Connery truly does stand out & DeNiro chews the scenery. This is in my top 5 De Palma movies with Scarface, Carrie, Scarface & Carlito's Way.
